or just use a double entendre, like "I'd pet that kitty".

yes and no, TED5 (or Tile Editor 5) as the same roots as the engine for Commander Keen, and Wolfenstein 3D. It's as the name says, a editor based on placing tiles on a 2D grid. TED5 had a lot of improvements, for example it supported multiple tiles per grid cell. This allowed features like floor over floor, GADs, etc. ROTT introduced a lot of new concepts to the FPS genre. But the engine itself was basically a seriously beefed up 2D engine with a different perspective.

Call, I've got a four of a kind: Christopher Walken (although his attitude changes a lot, it's still quite often the same guy)
-
I wonder why they didn't went with TED5 (ROTT's engine) right away and save quite some effort.

Hasn't there already been a thread or two about this game? Anyway, I'm also looking forward to it. I loved the Samorost games.

I saw it yesterday. Truly amazing. I didn't even know Wolfenstein 3D could do floor and ceiling tiles, or even parallax skies.

Don't forget Steven Seagal (who will also be in Machete).

Steam's hardware survey isn't really that useful as you might think. Sure, it gives you an indication of the the hardware of the average steam user. But the average steam user might not be the target audience of a game. It might not be the person that would buy a state of the art game with a $50 price tag. Also, games are not finished within a year. When you plan to release a game in 3 years you're better off to set the recommended system specs to what is the current high-end system. By the time your game is finished the high-end system of 3 years ago is the average system. -

Somehow that resulted in the brainfart "Command & Concur" the heat must be getting to me -
are people reading ign just for these quotes? or is there an other reason why people would visit that site?

now we only need proof of him drowning babies

Actually I could, but only once. This was the second time I wrote that response, but now I actually pressed "submit".

Heh... a PC now sounds a lot easier for gaming than an XBox360.
-
Or even better, Equilibrium, a role that actually fits his acting talent

Why? It would just be stating the facts, just like any other piece of information in that article. Of course people could extrapolate that into accusations, but there's a lot more in the article people can turn around.

What?! implausible! The you must really detest Terminator 3, and we would need to invent a new word just to describe how you would feel about Terminator Salvation.

As sort of a follow up to a recent tweet of Remo. Most games have a boring credit roll without much going on, sometimes a background animation. But others make the credit sequence at least interesting. I agree with Remo that "And Yet It Moves" has a great ending sequence, because it's interactive. m3e7_vt-Ti0 An other one of my favorites is the credits sequence of Super Mario World because it contains a role call of all the enemies you encountered (or not if you didn't play every level). gNcIAC30mWI And of course, the Portal credits Y6ljFaKRTrI I also like the LBA1 credits, similar to SMW it also shows a lot of characters you encountered in the game. (skip to about 4:00) w9bahmSPYb4 So what's your favorite game credit sequence?
-
I really hate that stuff. I really disliked the fact that you could die 3 times in broken sword. Every time I had to repeat a bunch of conversations and animations which you could skip. Quite annoying.

Idle News Podblast - 08/01/09: Surprise

it wasn't that terrible, I think you guys can do much worse -
I specifically chose credit sequences because intros (just like endings) have been done quite a lot. As for best installers... yes C&C1. I actually do not know a single other game that made the installer an "experience"/part of the game.

maybe we should start a online petition, they usually work Bring back the thumbs!
