Memory pointers cause nothing but issues. There's no need for them besides some dubious activities.

The ALL NEW Monday Night Multi-Thumbs RANDOMIZER
elmuerte replied to Lu 's topic in Multiplayer Networking
I learned two things about Monday Night Combat yesterday: 1) I'm a terrible assassin 2) whichever team I'm on loses -

Idle Thumbs 179: Shadow of Something
elmuerte replied to Chris's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
I played a shit load of Worms 1 demo with my brother. And only after hours we found out there were other weapons besides the rocket launcher. Worms 2 I played a lot with a bunch of friends when we were in Belarus back in 1999. So much fun messing with a game with so simple mechanics. Btw, there is an open source worms-like: http://www.openlierox.net/ -
Twin Peaks Rewatch 0: The Pre-Episode
elmuerte replied to Chris's topic in Twin Peaks Rewatch Episodes
I've seen Twin Peaks a while ago, after it came up again in a idle thumbs episode again. But I'm going to read it again. -
edit: ugh... to late. Way too many console games again.

I enjoyed the walks off-road.

Just finished this. My god what a beautiful game. I will probably go back just to wander around. I didn't have much issues except for the last bit That wasn't really obvious to me. The was kind of lame. It didn't scare me, or startle me, it was just lame that you were kicked back every time.

Playing Through Mario 64 1st Time, Difficult or Just Me?
elmuerte replied to skadann's topic in Video Gaming
Mario 64 is difficult because of the camera and inprecise movement, resulting in many dumb errors. But then again, you've got plenty of health. I think the basement levels were the most annoying because of constant camera turning near the walls. But in general I think its easier than SMW or Mario3. -
Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.
elmuerte replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
I still haven't finished it. Not sure where I am, but I think it's the 3rd part (I think narcotics?) and I hit a wall where I've had to redo the same mission a couple of times (including driving all the way to the mission). The game is just so tedious at some point. The only interesting thing going on was the backstory from the newspapers. -
I use avidemux for the basic editing. It ok enough to cut out parts of a video. It's not very precise, but it's good enough.

SAM: I just used OpenBroadcast Software (it's free and gratis) and simply started and ended the recording with defined hotkeys. No editing required for a single run.

nice way to this thread guys

I'm pretty sure mutators will be an important feature of this new UT. It wouldn't be an UT without being able to add instagib to every gamemode.

Awesome intro for this episode I dislike the steam curator and personalized store front. This will just introduce me to things I already know about. It will not broaden my interest. Given that fact that I buy pretty much all humble bundles and therefor have a shit load of indie games Steam is recommending me games similar to those that I acquired via Humble Bundle. But, the fact is that I do not really like most of the games I acquired via Humble Bundle. This is like targeted ads. When you need a new fridge you search the internet for fridges. After a while you've found the fridge you want and bought it. Days after you already bought the fridge you get advertisements for fridges, because that was your interest back then. Half the time I do not know what I like until I see/try it. ps, the Steam music player is also horrible. It has the same flaws as all music players that rely completely on meta data stored in the files. This is simply bad:
