The greatest headlines in the world (and other weird news stories)
elmuerte replied to ThunderPeel2001's topic in Idle Banter
Depends on what you mean with ethical treatment, and what subset of animals. When I have a fly in my room, or a mosquito, I will kill it, no exceptions. Also, I'm not going to "save" a cat "stuck" in a tree. -
Finally finished Batman: Arkham Asylum. Well, just the story and all riddles (took me a look time to find the 3 missing teeth in the mansion). The final battle was quite a bitch, suddenly the combos became very important. Anyway, awesome game.

it was a little over $20 for me (lame ass stealing of VAT, something Valve is also very good at).

Idle Thumbs 45: Episode Forty-Five

somebody should do an "ultimate disaster porn" version of that trailer Yay Spaceships?? -
It wasn't just the ending of Fahrenheit that was bad. It was also the almost lack of adventure in the second half of the game, and only quick time events. The stuff you saw in the absolute beginning of the game were completely gone after a while. And yes, Omikron contains a lot of flaws. The worst flaw, which was also present in Fahrenheit, is that they didn't follow through with their innovative concept and actually let it die. The whole body changing stuff appeared to be quite tedious, and useless because it didn't influence the world at all. The fighting stuff... ugh... Granted, it wasn't as terrible as the Dreamfall stuff, but still the game would probably have been better if they didn't try to include that.
-
That was a really short demo. And if these 3 scenes are 10% of the full game... then... the price is quite steep.
-
they didn't learn much from their mistakes in Omikron. So why would they learn much from Fahrenheit.

The last bit was awesome, funny as hell. The rest was good too -

omg... you've got a time machine?
-
ffs... I watched a Mass Effect 2 teaser/trailer... luckily it was a terrible part from the game so it won't get my hopes up

There was some kind of Wizard party or gathering on the campus of Lancaster University tonight. But I was afraid to take any pictures with that many pointy hats around.

both feature masked foes

did you also complete all challenges? I tried a few challenges, I didn't like them.
-
well, what did you think was in all those boxes and crates besides, those buildings were not procedural generated, if they were it would have been much better. Although it would still contain a lot of generic rooms.
-
Also, Batman and BioShock both start with a 'B'. And they both have mutated humans, and scientists doing dangerous experiments. They both contain rooms with doors, and sometimes feature water, fire, and explosions.
-
The procedural general of planets wasn't the problem with the planet missions. It was mostly the lack of interesting stuff to do.

I'm really confused with OSDT'S OST; it doesn't sound like an action game at all. (also, I like saying/typing OSDT OST, it's FTW and OMFGWTFBBQ, THWZRD!)
-
Primer wasn't that difficult. It was quite good, I like these high quality low budget movies. Although Primer was really really low budget. But just like "The Man from Earth" it shows that seriously good/interesting movies don't need a multi million dollar budget.
-
so... I should look for the ODST OST, OK
-
wow... that's quite close, but it's not it. I first though it was from The Longest Journey, but that's also quite close but not the same.
