I wish speed wasn't an important factor in most of the puzzles. Some things really come down to precise timing.

oh right... timezones and stuff... US evening won't work for me during week days.

That's what I hoped too. But the gameplay is so awful that I stopped playing after the first chapter (or something), right after defending the bridge. The story, voice acting, animations, level design, ... all are terrible to average. The only good thing of the game, is the idea behind it. The original UT2004 mod was probably even better than the game itself.

I like the special edition where I get additional real world goodies or a CD\DVD with extra non-in-game stuff (like making off and game score). The best special edition version I've got is probably the one from Bioshock 2 (the one with the record). I've also got Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3, Batman: Arkham Asylum, UT2004, UT3, Darnwinia+Multiwinia, Myst 3, Bioshock 1, Prince of Persia (2008). I loath unlockable in-game stuff reserved for special editions or pre-orders. A special or collectors edition should be affordable. It shouldn't be as ridiculous as God of War 3, Modern Warfare 2, Halo: Reach. Which cost more than twice as the normal version.

Damnation is shit. The gameplay is quite terrible. It sort of plays as a mediocre late 90s FPS.

My registration was rejected. It didn't meet their requirements (whichever they were). I probably didn't visit enough while logged in. Then again, why would I visit a forum when I'm not allowed to contribute.

So... when? I'm at home tonight. Otherwise I'm going to play some of those brutal sega megadrive games from that collection. Altered Beast and Comic Zone are insane.

I posted this earlier this month.

No, Little Big Adventure is not free. That sites is illegally providing a download for it. If the game really was free I would provide it for download from my LBA fan site. The only legal way to get a copy is to buy a second hand copy from eBay or something, but watch out, there are a lot of illegal copies sold as legitimate. Copyright for the games is owned by Fred Raynal (creator of the game), and some other guy (CEO of Delphine iirc), not by EA or Activision.

that reminds me, I still haven't played deus ex 2, it didn't run well on my computer back then (various rendering artifacts), and simply forgot about it.

That's not really a nick 'breckon' name, just his middle name. What else did you think the B in Chris B. Remo stood for? -

Because he was on that GDC "Comedy in games" panel. And video games is called video games, because he doesn't play any. And hot scoops is called hot scoops, because the first time he was one he had hot scoops.
