Advice for teenagers interested in the game industry.

Good, because hope and dreams have nothing to do with it. It's dedication and commitment. ps, if you're not depressed enough, read this months' Game Developer Magazine, it has a very depressing article with crunch time stories -
My imminent backlog: Dragon Age Borderlands LittleBigPlanet Eat Lead Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom Killzone 2 Dead Space Spirit Tracks M&L Bowser's Inside Story I recently picked up programming again in my spare time (Unreal Development Kit stuff), so that's going to hurt my backlog even more.

I never wore a tie in my life, never saw the use of wearing something that cuts of the air supply to your head.

Took a few days off from work to help out with a festival I helped create and organize for 9 years now. If you're in the Netherlands, and the vicinity of Enschede you should check out Green Vibrations.

I wonder how they would even track that? Through referrer? Because I downloaded the games from various locations for different systems. Anyway it's not a new low. Some people simply pirate for pirating. Some people ar not even aware they are pirating. All they see is a download link for a game.

GRRR!!!! Again I'm home late. Yesterday because some fucking retarded impatient football (a.k.a. soccer) hooligans decided to walk on the train tracks, and the police therefor closed the whole train station for an hour. And today some asshole took a closer look of a train, with as result that I had to take a 30 minutes detour by train to get home.

Yes, it was mentioned before: http://www.idlethumbs.net/forums/showthread.php?p=123610#post123610 I was Chase Rainbowpants. I think it was also featured in a thumbcast.

I don't have a fancy Intel Quad Core, so this game is never going to run on my system :/

I still have quite a few levels to play for that, I think. I'm a bit disappointed by the low amount of game parodies. It started off good.

yeah, I can see two of them right outside of this window

Yeah, I donated $25, which would be $5 for each game, which might be what I would spend on the game if it would be on sale anyway. Too bad I didn't like any of those games.

Sounds a lot like my vaporware middleware called SCAMM

The best place I found was the one with the living tree. It was a nice variation. What was this Lovecraftian thing? Edit: oh that place, yeah visited that too. Edit 2: To see the rube goldberg machine:

World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru, Penumbra. Five games, for only $5,784.99 or any other price you feel is right: http://www.wolfire.com/humble

That was an other crappy feature of FO3, the ability to jump ahead in the story by going somewhere you shouldn't have been.

What? is that real? because it sounds awesome. I guess some LD was bored. I didn't enjoy exploration much in Fallout 3. There simply wasn't much to do or see. And the metro maze of the city simply sucked. I don't know if I liked it more or less than exploring in Oblivion. I got annoyed in Oblivion by the constantly spawning oblivion gates that I decided to rush through the main story line, and shortly after that I stopped playing. I did enjoy exploring Morrowind a lot. As other said, there was much more variation in the world, but also much more to do (even though they often it just was a fetch quest). The world in Fallout 3 was pretty much the same allover, with only some slight variation.

Tsk, he's not even credited as Rapist #1, but simply Freak #1.
