I would have called it "Thi65f", at least that makes sense.

I do the same, I don't want to miss out on anything in the game.

Or maybe it's time to post the un-aired Nick Breckon monologues. -

I heard Remo was arrested when he came back from London and is now locked away in some government facility. -
Well.. Hot Fuzz was more about action movies like Bad Boys and Bad Boys 2. Shaun of the Dead was a bit about video-games.

Soundtracks for the video-games, and your most beloved ones
elmuerte replied to Snooglebum's topic in Video Gaming
If you like Deus Ex' music you'll also love the Music from Unreal, it's mostly by the same people. It includes gems like: Bluff Eversmoking: Or from the expansion Return to Na Pai: Nagomi Passage (Day): Unreal was quite awesome with it's music. They but at lot of attention to it with proper mood and dynamic switching to intense segments when there was action. Daikatana also has quite some good tracks. But most of the time the music doesn't contribute much to the mood of the game and actually feels a bit alien. My favorites are: E1C and E4C (sorry, no youtube links). Mass Effect does have a very good soundtrack. Jack Wall and Sam Hulick created the same space like music that was used in SciFi movies from the 80s and early 90s. Some tracks really capture the silence and deadness of space, like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCWfDqbCajU or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfKXU4jbdPk Crusader: No Remorse also has some interesting music. Most of the time the music is, just like the levels, packed with action. When when you return to the rebel base between missions you are treated with very relaxing and sort of depressing music like this: It really reflects the mood of the people in the rebel base. Diablo... 'nuf said: The Neverhood's soundtrack is special. It always puts a smile on my face: It's goofy music for a goofy world. Overal MDK2 doesn't have a very good soundtrack, but there is one track that realy stands out: It's the song you hear when you're battling one of the coolest bosses every: Shwing Shwang. Oh, and there's the absolutely awesome soundtrack of Professor Layton And The Curious Village. For example: or (it's very Ástor Piazzolla, "Punta del Este", which was also used in The Simpsons' Yokel Chords episode, and of course 12 monkeys ) -
I think I took me about 60 hours to complete most of the game (only a few side quests were not completed due to lame reasons). Not a single fight took me over 5 hours.

just because he's leaving doesn't mean he's retiring from game development.

It's called a paradox. And it was intentional.

I see wide screen as a failure to produce vertically interesting content.

I hate clothes shopping! Specially when it's crowded. I bought some new pants today, same brand, same size. And because it was so crowded I decided to skip fitting the pants (didn't want to stand inline for a long time). When I came home, the pants of course were too small. Of course it's ridiculous to assume that the size of pants from the same brand stay the same. The new pants are about 4cm less wide than the old pants, even though they are exactly the same size and same brand. I'm not getting fatter, the sizes of cloths shrink

Finished Dragon Age: Origins. I don't know why, but I have the feeling something was missing or not so great about the game. Maybe it was too much realistic medieval and not enough fantasy. Or maybe it's because of the rather small world, or at least, it felt small. The world also appeared quite dull, there wasn't much going on. It was another one of those worlds that completely revolved around me. The story of the game was also very focused (just like Mass Effect 2). Right from the beginning it was quite clear what the direction of the story was. That didn't leave much room for exploring the story. The game did have a very satisfying ending, but I hated the battle outside of that fort. It took me quite a few tries to get past that part while the rest was quite a walk in the park. Sometimes it wasn't very clear what the effect was of certain choices in the dialogue. There often wasn't room to change your mind about things. But I did like the the hard choices you had to make (i.e. either in or out) which also affected more that just that part of the quest. The premium content quests really pissed me off. The AI and path finding also failed a lot. Sometimes it completely ignored my request to attack. They simply stood there becoming dead. It would also have been nice if the characters understood how to use those injury kits. I did enjoy the "fade" segment. That was an interesting side step of from the rest of the game. And why didn't I have the ability to drop items. I could only destroy them... Anyway, I'm giving this game a . I think I expected a Baldur's Gate like game, but it wasn't.

meh... I don't really care for anything from Ubisoft right now, not even Frederick Raynal's project. Maybe Ancel will come out with something more interesting with his new studio.

The code expires June 2nd. If I'm not going to use my code this weekend I'll also put it up for grabs.
-
I don't know. I'm tempted to buy it, but I still haven't completed season 1, and don't really feel like it.
-
Oh... that sounds awful.

To quote some guy from /.:

No.

I don't know. Just point the sonic screwdriver at anything (except wood apparently) and it does what you want it to do.
-
Yeah, that's the crappy ending. The original, director's is the best. The third ending is only slightly different from the theater ending and iirc most true to the original story.

WizaaaaaaAAAaaaAArd!!!: A Reckless Disregard for Magic. -
Which version did you watch? Because there are 3 different endings, the good one didn't end up in the cinema or most of the DVD releases.
