Micmacs Even though it's quite heavy on the orange and teal, it is quite an awesome movie. It's by the same guy that made The City of Lost Children and Delicatessen. It has been quite a long time since I saw a movie as entertaining as this one.

go for the quad, dual cores are barely worth the effort these days if possible use SSD as system disk and a second disk for most of the bulk data. SSD is quite a lot faster, but seriously expensive

as someone who has an iPhone and an Android I can tell you the applications are more or less of equal crappiness. Although the iPhone applications often have more attention to eyecandy and the Android applications give more attention to functionality.

Oh well, I don't care, it looks like that's just boring grinding for nothing useful at all.

Finished Borderlands DLC: Island of Dr Ned It was ok, it was more less like most of Borderlands, except that you had to fight a lot of zombies. Still haven't figured out what to do with those zombie brains, did I miss something?

only 150+ hours? That doesn't sound much for doing everything in the game

seriously... all introversion games for a mere 5 euros, Darwinia is one of my all time favorite games, just that game alone it worth a multitude of 5 euros. And now you'll also get multiwinia, uplink, and DEFCON a shame that Steam sucks so much, and right not it's not even possible to download anything, and authentication takes minutes, so it's difficult to play the games you "bought"

Didn't some Call of Duty or Medal of Honor like game did that too? You entered some train, and then got an "the end", and that was it. Or at least, that was what a friend of mine told me a few years ago.

I like how Apple requires people do buy special stuff for their hardware, and now they will also want you to use special positions to use the hardware.

meh.. I'll see what happens. It'll either be directly from my HTPC to my AVR or through my PS3 to my AVR. So far I'm been using PS3 Media Server on my Dell XPS420 and it worked quite well, except for certain 1080p scenes, but that was probably due to the 100mbit/s network as it didn't need transcoding as far as I know. Why would DTS be a problem? My AVR eats most of those audio formats, doesn't the PS3 simply pass through the audio stream through HDMI to my AVR?

What kind of expectations do you even have for your file server? That barely needs any CPU time... just disk space. And the tests I saw places the 330ION on barely 33% CPU time during playback of some stuff. Anyway,... I bought it... and build it... and almost configured it. No way back now.

That really shouldn't be the case. According to various reviews from tech sites a Atom 330 with nVidia ION chipset should be good enough for HD output, not sure if also include proper 1080p. A prebuild system using that config is the Asrock 330ION which is only 300 euros or something. Anyway, I recently bought the Asrock motherboard used in their prebuild system and build the system yesterday, but I still have to install the OS (going for GNU/Linux, Ubuntu 10.4 to be exact) and test if it works. If this configuration isn't good enough to handle the video I will simply use XBMC and watch it through my PS3.

Wooohoo... my new computer hardware arrived in the correct number of pieces. And it looks like everything works.

I didn't feel like making the enormous voyage again. I tried it the first time, but I wasn't strong enough.

The movies were ok, sometimes the story was too long. But I'm looking forward to new episodes.
