I think it's a serious bad move. There have already been enough examples where nut jobs are bad losers and cause serious harm to the people the lost from. Now it will be easier to find them. The blizzard forums are not just for discussions, but also the place for support. There isn't really a good reason why the real name should be shown. If they want to remove the anonymity from the forums from the service provider perspective, then link the forum accounts directly to the battle.net accounts. Alternatively you could change your legal name to John Smith. Then the whole idea of "real name" is instantly useless. It will only hurt people with more or less unique names (or names similar to famous people (no, not sean 'famous' vanaman)). And as facebook has shown, it won't get rid of internet trolls and assholes.

I'm going to un-recommend "Cop Out"... seriously... this was a Kevin Smith movie?! I'd rather watch Shadow And Colossus: Back in Action, it's much better as a buddy cop movie.

I think a problem with a lot of modern horror is that they try to hard to scare or gross out people. Horror (with the exception of the splatter genres) should focus on tension. A lot of science fiction movies contain more tension than horror movies. For example the scifi movie Sunshine had more tension than the average horror movie.

Heatmaps are indeed quite interesting for developers. But they are useless at the time the game is released, unless you really are going to rebalance the maps. Epic added support for gathering these kinds of information (heatmaps, player behavior, system config) over a year ago to UE3. So I'm sure a lot of developers are going to use it for their games (that use UE3). Of course in most cases this information won't be made public. But I am interested to see overall player behavior. Specially in single player games it's interesting to see where a lot of people struggled.

You should check out the "Masters of Horror" series, it's probably the best modern horror
