Obscure as in weird? or as in dark? If the former, then the most obscure adventure game I played is probably Ring: The Legend of the Nibelungen. If the latter, then it's probably Post Mortem by Microïds. -

actually.. in game I don't really notice the music, but the western theme on the bridge and stuff is just unfitting. As for the voice overs.. yes, they could use a better randomizer. Anywho. It has been a long time I've really played an RTS. The last RTS games I actually completed were Warcraft 2 and C&C1. So far I'm enjoying SC2.

Renamed From Dust to ...? what? Dawn?

Is it just me or is the music in this game quite terrible? I mean, it sounds like they just grabbed a bunch of songs a put it in the game. Note: I've only listened to the OST so far, haven't actually played the a real game (just a few tutorials).

That's what I thought too.
-
No it's not. It was quite an disappointment.

It looks like the Netherlands will be getting collector's editions for the PC, but apparently only the FreeRecordShop is allowed to sell them.

A Rudimentary Poll: PC or Consoles and your gaming background

The machine I bought in Q3 1999 was about 2500 euros. The machine I bought in Q2 2004 was about 1500 And the machine I bought in Q1 2008 was 1700 (it was a Dell; with extended next-day service). All were full machines including monitors, and all on the low end of high-end systems. So, I wasted about 1.25 euros a day on workstations. (I'm excluding laptops and server obviously). I estimate that I wasted almost twice that on games. -
Holy crap, is that real? Or from some fan made LOTR movie!?

Finished Uncharted 2 I think naughty dog pretty much created a perfect sequel. This game is almost exactly Uncharted 1, but with a different story/adventure. This also means it has the same flaws and the first games. Aiming is still a major annoyance. They however did a better job in level design. The chest high walls are not as obvious as the previous games (or most of the other games with a cover mechanism). The puzzles/platforming segments are still quite simple and sometimes tedious. And I really wish there was more adventuring, more opportunity to explore and enjoy the gorgeous environments. Because I didn't play Uncharted 2 yet in 2009 I obviously didn't pick it as my GOTY. But now that I've played it, Batman: Arkham Asylum is still my 2009 GOTY. I'm looking forward to a 3rd Nathan Drake adventure.

awesome to hear... a little over 7 days left before I'm going to see it

Ok, then it's something in my setup that makes steam just wait for the normal TCP timeout before prompting to go into offline mode. Steam was the only application that had problems with it, everything else returned right away that the outside world was unreachable.
-
I find that statement disrespectful to the other engine programmers who played a vital part in the creation of those engines.
-
Yes, but you're have a working internet connection when you go into offline mode. Right?
-
Interesting... I'd never thought about doing that
-
- Single point of failure; whole game collection linked to a single volatile account; - No consumer protection; because Valve is not bound to EU laws - Requires you to be online; unless offline mode has been fixed since november 2009, it's seriously annoying to wait a very long time (3-5 minutes) just to play a game Those are the reason I try to avoid Steam as much as possible, and otherwise wait till the game dropped to a more disposable price; which usually takes 3 to 6 months.

Bioshock: Infin2te

I do think it needs a better name than Bioshock infinite (Nike) Airshock Cumulushock
-
Not for me. It all looks quite interesting. The only thing that I don't like is that this might be just Bioshock in the sky.
