I absolute disagree that the Broken Sword were bad games. They belong to the better adventure games. I think the main reason I didn't like Broken Sword 1+2 that much is because I played them about 2 years ago. The games didn't have fancy features like skip walking and just exit the scene. This was really annoying when I was trying to figure out what to do. You are not really reminded what to do. So when you return to the games a week later is can be quite difficult. If you want to play a bad adventure game you should play Dreamfall or something. -

I liked Syberia. Or at least, the animatronic world it took place in. The music was also nice. Don't remember how good it was puzzle and story wise. As for the Broken Sword games. I didn't really enjoy playing the the first one. The second one wasn't much better. Solving the puzzles felt like a shore. The third and forth game were much much interesting. The story was more compelling. -
Played the last two Protoss missions. Damn, that last one was intense. And damn starcraft 2's story is shallow.
-
that really doesn't sound familiar at all but it does remind me that I should play what the movie more often.

ugh... what an idiot with a silly voice
-
No the eventual outcome. But I think there were some influences... right? Well, it was 15 years ago.
-
No, you're correct. There really is no voice in Rainslick. iirc it was on purpose.

I think PoP was quite acceptable. For a game to movie translation it was quite good. The only thing I really missed in the movie was the gorgeous environments of the games. The environment in the movie was so simple, so basic. Nothing fancy. It was also quite light on the parkour. But the princess was annoying, the prince was cocky. It felts like PoP to me. Law Abiding Citizen wasn't surprisingly good for me. When I saw the trailer I knew it was going to be a good movie. It could only have let me down. I really like movies that have a proper intrigue. (any suggestions? I'm really looking for something to top "Man from Earth").

I liked Expendables, I want more of it. I'm not exactly sure, I think I need to watch it a second time, but I think it doesn't really measure up to the type of movie it wants to be. I get the feeling they tried to hard to be an 80s/early 90s action movie. But there were a few things they got missed. For example, an average action movie of that type has 2 location of operation (and of course a home base). In the expendables they simply returns to the same location. They also made some characters flaws. For example Terry Crews' character was the heavy guy, What they should have done is show some clips where he is preparing to blow the ship out of everything. They sort of did that way before the action, but not during the lead-up part. But the other things, like the one-liners, the balls-out action, etc. was excellent. But anyway, I'm looking forward to #2. Also, the movie experience with Expandibles was much much much much better than mu previous experience with Inception. Guess the Pathe cinema in Rotterdam shouwburgplein is simply crap.

I actually like the single unit missions... probably because I'm not much of a RTS gamer. I really dislike timed missions. Another thing I don't really like is that your choice in who's side to pick doesn't matter at all. It pretty much has no serious effect story wise or gameplay wise. The whole story is a bit tacked on as filler. I somehow get the feeling the choices you had to make in the first C&C mattered more. Also, I think I cracked the formula to win most "matches", which is a bit of a downer. Maybe I should upgrade to "hard", but I think that only means it will be more difficult for me to jump to different locations on the map to quickly select things and stuff. This quite annoys me. And I still think the music is quite bad. BTW... is there a way to automatically add every unit to a given group? Because selecting the building and SHIFT+n does things I don't want. And how do I permanently remove a unit from a group? I sometimes accidentally add one of those construction units to a group. (and don't tell me it's in the manual, that thing is locked away in that heavy box it came in)

Well... that was fun. It has been a great run, I've really enjoyed all the casts and stuff around it. So I guess... It's... So long, and thanks for the fish. Up to the next incarnation of Idle Thumbs? btw, guessed I missed it. But what is Chris going to do at Irrational? Create weird and funny songs for their games? -
I think it's better than Scott Pilgrim, at least from a gameplay perspective. It feels more than I am in control and that the character responds to my button mashing. But I am missing some some background noise. For example, the intro. It was just way to silent.
-
It didn't record my time or even the fact that I completed it. It just show the achievements I received. I didn't expect to get any extras, but it's still stupid that the it tells you that you gathered 0 of 3 of the research items. If I can't get them anyway.. then why taunt me.

You should really play Simon the Sorcerer 3D -
Well, besides Robocop and Total Recall, there's the Dutch WW2 movie "Soldaat van Oranje" which is awesome.

friggin bugs... So I tried to play the alternate mission of Hanson it yesterday, was a long struggle. And today... it looks like it didn't care.
-
Labyrinth is definitely in my top 13 list.

It was much easier. But you were probably more experienced in the bizarreness in how to solve certain puzzles. -
Some demand!? So I guess I need to demand more?

Played the first map where things became difficult yesterday. It was the one with that gas stuff. Could barely keep up building stuff. Completed the level with 2 spare gas thingies (i.e. 5 were closed), and lost quite some units. And that was on normal. I really like how so far the mission are quite different
