Like the Friendly Idle Thumbs Interactive Fiction? or FITIF

Business and technical reasons? So, it's not financial reasons. Their office and data center were raided by the MAFIAA?

ffs... I've had it with this game, I suck at this. Don't these enemies ever die!? also... the lack of a goal is kind of bothering me
-
Damn I suck at this game. I can't figure out the logic behind crafting. Also my computer sucks at creating a world, always takes me ages to find some coal.
-
better But yes, there are a bunch from that era which I don't have but want, but also mid 90's.
-
Those are just old, but not good.

I actually lol'ed. Maybe I should give mincraft another try. Played it for a while last weekend, but couldn't actually figure out what to do.

The Bethesda Podcast, featuring Nick Breckon
elmuerte replied to Wubbles's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
So BethSoft stole Nick from us to make their own podcast? Those bastards. -
Whoosh! I was somewhat trying to point out that even when gog.com is gone you can still play your games. So far gog.com had little to offer me. I already own a copy of the games they have I'm interested it. I think, I actually never bothered to go back and check out they new offerings. There are however still quite some gogs I am interested in, but they don't have it. Like Toonstruck, or good old quarantine.
-
But they promised to release a patch for the games so you can play them without the client in case they went bankrupt and stuff.
-
I think you can get some kind of syndrome. But other than that... no idea.

Idle Thumbs 51: Burnin' Down the Wolfman [Now with Video!]

Jake coming back from the Wizard after his wisdom teeth were removed: "Is this a Video game?" -
that's an awesome lineup the only thing missing is The Goonies

Ico Shadow & Colossus, Back in Action, day one perch.

really? I thought Mario Galaxy 2 was pretty much Mario Galaxy 1 but with clouds instead of stars. Anyway, it's quite a crappy trailer. They forgot quite some games: only 1 handheld mario game, no mario kart, none of the gazillion other mario spinsoffs (like tennis, smash, dr, & luigi, etc.)
-
Pretty much the same. But more tedious. Also, the world didn't open as fast as in this one.

I completely agree. I still have to do 2 more levels.

Saw the mini series "The Lost Room" based on Ron Gilbert's recommendation. Awesome show, and really this should have been an adventure game.

First of all, it doesn't fix the problem. Somebody still has to build it, somebody has to put effort into it. And who's going to pay for that. Secondly, not all multiplayer modes are the same. You have different weapons, different movement, different flow, and different abilities in pretty much most games that have a deathmatch multiplayer component. These things need tweaking so that it becomes workable. ps, Epic included a rudimentary (team) deathmatch with their engine that is free to be used by all licensees. And in most cases they do use it and extend it in various ways. And that's the stuff you often play. Anyway, I don't care for multiplayer in games. I rather they spend the time on the single player experience.
