Prepare for some serious nightmares:
-
I'm sure Robert A. Heinlein wrote about that

Finished Mothership Zeta (fallout 3 dlc). It was ok. Not much special except a different environment. Point Lookout and Operation Anchorage were better. I triggered the bug where you instantly jumped to "kill the captain" after the space walk. Which sucked because I missed out on some dialog. I did traverse through the rest of the ship and did the death ray stuff.

I made an enormous statue, it's behind the Thumb, follow the path through the D. Best viewed at normal draw distance (or higher) at day. You can get on top through a ladder hidden at the backside.
-
I left something huge (about 200x50 blocks) somewhere on the map. We'll have to wait for a new map render to see it, and know where it actually was.

I'm out of inspiration

isn't there a faster way to connect to the server? copy pasting everytime sucks

Interesting. I wasn't really excited about the 3rd Layton game. But glad to hear it's at least better than the 2nd one. I got sort of bored with the second one, the story wasn't very compelling.

isn't this a clear example of emergent gameplay?

but minecraft is not a game...

I was working on a mushroom cloud, but it turned out shit. Maybe I'm going to convert it to a volcano... unless somebody has a better idea.

but do minecarts work? I was told they don't

I wonder if his computer will have an issue with zombie processes when it's finished.

Yes. But it's still important to note if you want to use lava on the ThumbCraft/IdleMine Server.
-
holy motherboard batman... imagine needing to debug that thing And here we are building things that take a couple of hours spanned over a few days. And then these things that take weeks if not months.
-
Also, the bottom layer must be smooth stone, the sides can be dirt.
-
I already made a huge Thumb (which is actually 1:1 copy of ) Somebody should do Ok, lava is way more complicated than water. Instead of two sides you need 4 sides to fill the middle block with proper lave.

There are quite some games that hold up quite well. Adventure games usually hold up the best. Actions games not that often, the issue is that a lot of those action games have very jerky movement. Or at least, compared to games now. Also, the speed is seriously high compared to games now. If you can bare the low resolution on your enormous screen most good games from that time are still quite good today. A lot of games I replayed after 10 years were still a lot of fun. The only real issue I had was with Crusader No Remorse and No Regret. That really didn't play well anymore.

The problem is that water is pretty much the only mechanic that works online.

damnit... that will make things more difficult.
