  1. Recently QUITED games

If you would give it a rating, would it be lower that the required 7/10?
  2. Hard disk fail

S.M.A.R.T. cannot be trusted. It doesn't always report errors when the drive is failing. When it does report errors that the drive usually is failing. Getting DMA interrupt errors reported by Linux is usually a good sign the drive is starting to fail, or is already failing. Specially dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } is good indicator the drive is bust and you should make haste extracting data from it. Don't waste time recovering data using Windows. It will only make things worse. Linux does a much better job at recovering data. You might want to try a special Linux distribution for system recovery: http://www.sysresccd.org/Main_Page

No he doesn't, because gravity is used. Energy from the universe is used, and never given back. Just read up on super string theory, and you'll see.

  8. (Unconfirmed)Telltale tackles.. KING'S QUEST?

after Mask of Eternity... how can there be another Kings Quest game... that's just unplausible
  9. Recently QUITED games

I recently started playing The Ball, I know a bunch of the people who made it. I don't care about the fighting in it, I wish it was just clever puzzle solving. Maybe I should have agreed to work on it ... ah well ... Anyway.... quittttted games. I don't think there are many games I actually stopped playing. There are some games I still intend to finish. And there are some games that are not really finish material (e.g. there is no real end; just no more unsolved puzzles, tracks, challenges, ...). I usually try to finish games no matter how terrible they are. For example, I did finish Dreamfall. But games I actually stopped playing altogether and don't intend to ever finish: - GROM: Terror in Tibet That game was terrible. I don't know why I even bought it. It's a bit like Commando's but with everything good about it removed. - Chronomaster Not a great game... and I got stuck pretty bad at some point. - Command & Conquer: Renegade On the navel ship I killed the captain before I was supposed to do so. And I only discovered that after an hour or so. I didn't have any save from before triggering that game breaking bug, and didn't feel like replaying it all. So I stopped. - Evil Genius & Dungeon Keeper Yes, really. I love both games, specially Evil Genius. But for some reason I can never put myself toward completing those games. I usually manage to get halfway through the game. Maybe it's because I'm actually more interested in base building. And base building sort of becomes tedious in those games after a while. - Omikron It's the usual Quantic Dream curse. Or at least, Fahrenheit had the same problem. The game starts very strong but becomes absolute shit after a certain point. And in Omikron that part is quite early in the game, and I gave up. Of course that stuff is all quite in the past. The most recent game I gave up on is,.... I think Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. I'm not sure if I'm going to quit it, or maybe going to give it another try. If this game was on the PC I would probably have completed it. But the controls are really annoying. I hate playing FPS/TPS games with a gamepad.
  10. Life

A little over 2 days when I was a student just for the heck of it. After a certain period absolutely nothing is interesting enough to do. So I went to sleep due to boredom.
  11. The Witness by Jonathan Blow

The point is that the "social games" are feeding of social networks; and are not providing a social platform for interaction. On top of that they are evil because social network activity translates to forms of currency/credit in those games. e.g. spam about this game and you get a free hat. A game like WoW or Minecraft is social because there you have social activity within the game. It's part of the game to be socially active.
  12. Minecraft

That's absolutively awesome, specially the world damage after the creeper explosion

lol I wonder, does he really believe the bullshit he's spreading? Or is it just an act in line with News Corp's guidelines.

    It's asking for a password. I tried 46DCEAD317FE45D80923EB97E4956410D4CDB2C7 but it didn't work.

  19. *Face-palm* (Bulletstorm)

Speaking of bulletstorm. Is it just me or does the limited edition really suck? You only get some crappy virtual items? I'm not going to pay 10 euros for that.
  20. Life

I think I wandered into uncharted waters with my last reply to PSN support. They haven't responded yet. The last few times I would get a response the next day. I hope this isn't a bug in the gameplay code rendering this quest uncompletable.
  21. *Face-palm* (Bulletstorm)

Buy it from online retailers; they are usually cheaper than Steam (unless there's a Steam sale).
  22. So.. Batman: Arkham Asylum

It is about timing, but messing up the timing doesn't result in instant failure, it just means less awesome chain of attacks.
  23. Life

PSN Support replied my their latest move today; and I responded with a proper counter action. This text-based play-by-email game is ... interesting. The gameplay and writing is actually quite terrible, and not to speak about the graphics. Also, they didn't even bother to create music.
  24. Life

I don't know. That's the stuff I probably need to figure out soon. Usually online retailers respect the law and act accordingly. Obvious reason is of course that they want to keep customers and not loose them to competition. But SCEE has a monopoly with PSN. There is no other way to get a vast collection of software for the PS3. So they can simply abuse their position.
