It's stated in most of the PSN EULAs that they can shut your account down for those fake accounts (you are faking an address). As for the possibility of region locking PSN games, it's part of the functionality, but hardly anyone uses it. also, typo, I meant to say walled garden
  2. Iron Brigade

That's not the only issue with PSN. The amount of spam I receive through PSN is also ridiculous for a system as closed as PSN. PSN is even worse than gfwl w.r.t. logging in (it's quite slow) and patching games. It also has the steam "feature" where it denies you from playing a game when there's a patch for it. And then there's the thing about PSN region locking. Did you know that, just like Valve with Steam, Sony granted itself the right to block your account completely when it notices "fraudulent" behavior. Which includes claiming you live in .jp to get access to the japanese PSN store. Disk based PS3 games might be region free, but stuff from the PSN store might not be, and it's not just DLC, but also complete games. Seriously, what's so great about PSN? It's a frigging walled garden.

Lol... online experience with PSN. Yeah, there's an absolute shitfest of an experience. As for multiplatform games being broken control wise on the PC. For FPS/TPS games it's infact the console versions that have a broken control scheme. I don't I would have liked playing Bulletstorm on a console.

Yes you can. You're not going to get big sales when you're being too careful. A lot of things were done wrong in selling psychonauts. The biggest mistake was to delay the game for over a year in Europe.
  5. Piracy/theft

Criminal acts are defined in the Criminal law (Wetboek van Strafrecht in the Netherlands). A misdemeanor is a lesser form of criminal act. Illegal acts are defined in the other laws. Although it is not always divided that strictly. Traffic, gun and drug laws are often extension of the criminal law, and not per se part of it.
  6. Piracy/theft

Hold on there. Copyright infringement is an illegal act, but not a criminal act. Piracy (both in goods and on high see) are criminal acts. You cannot stop copyright infringement or piracy. Making it more complicated to do so will only hamper your customers. Annoy your customers enough and they might resort to copyright infringement, getting pirated version, or simply downloading illegitimate copies (which isn't piracy or copyright infringement when you do not distribute any bits yourself). Morally? The whole concept of morals is in the eye of the beholder. It is considered morally wrong you get illegitimate copies, but by a lot it is also considered morally wrong to artificially limit usage/ownership of products. If Sony was Ford and the PS3 was a car. The car you bought cannot be opened by you for repair, only gas approved by Sony could be bought. You couldn't make arbitrary modifications to your car. And Sony could ban you from driving your car on the road.

What kind of money do you have? If you've got a simple TFT display consider switching to a smaller screen or a plasma. (or sit further away from the screen). The only problem I had was with the piano music in the menu. For some reason that tune really annoyed the shit out of me.
  10. Meh... what a mess, sounds like a conversation between drunken friends in a bar.
  11. Piracy/theft

Well, piracy isn't theft, it is in the definition of both terms. In theft I take something away from you, you can no longer use that something. In piracy I simply make a copy and sell it to others as the real deal. (Note: piracy without selling is just copyright infringement). Parties like the MAFIAA like to use the word 'theft' because they think it's easier to understand for the dumb people.
  12. Movies of the genre "adventure"

In general I quite enjoy movies that have been put in the genre "adventure". Of course there are quite some "adventure" movies that I didn't really like. I quite often don't agree on what gets labeled as adventure. To me for a movie to be in the adventure genre there really has to be some kind of adventure through the world. Traversing the world; exploring stuff; etc. When I go through the list of adventurous movies that I've seen I've noticed that there is a decline going on in the recent years of adventures movies that I really enjoyed. Most of the adventure movies I really enjoyed come from the 80s and 90s. To name a couple of my favorite adventure movies (in no particular order): Labyrinth; Dark Crystal; Big Trouble in Little China; Quartermain and the City of Gold; King Solomon's Mines; Stand by me; Jewel of the Nile; Romancing the Stone; the India jones movies of course; Willow; the Conan movies; Red Sonja; the Studio Ghibli stuff; the Goonies; ... And to name a few more recent movies, the LOTR and Pirates of the Caribbean movies; but also Dragon Hunters; So yeah, there is sort of a theme going on in that list. But "Stand by me" isn't that fantastic (as in fantasy like). So are there any adventurous movies you really liked; or just some movies you can recommend me? Chances are high that I already saw most of the Hollywood stuff. But still any recommendation is welcome.

  16. Why So Serious Sam 3?

Those screenshots look terrible. Serious Sam used to be colorful. I really hope that's not the overall tone of the game. And I also hope they don't pull a Serious Sam 2.
  17. GTA V

Maybe it's not GTAV but GTAIV:2 You know, just like they did with GTAIIIVC and GTAIIISA
  18. Recently completed video games

it's not gibberish, just low quality textures
  19. Recently completed video games

Just finished Bulletstorm on the PC. Excellent game. The world design is great, quite some variation and colorful. Sure, the world has gone to hell, but at least isn't not the usual dick stained covered craphole as in most games. The pacing is quite good, and there's also some time to enjoy the scenery. It's much like Enslaved, as in, but with first person shooting instead of hand to hand and acrobatics. The game features one actual boss fight, which is really awesome. The game isn't very long, could be finished in one day. But it didn't feel as short game. I will probably reply some parts of the game, it's just too much fun to kick people around.

    I guess Ubisoft fears foxnews

  24. *Face-palm* (Bulletstorm)

argh... too many spoilers in that movie... They could have used a bit more of synonyms for dick. Just like Spartacus could have used some variety on the term cock.
