  3. Blue sky in American games?

Rockstar North and Ninja Theory are not American game studios. Hothead is Canadian... so... it's a North-America game studio.

  7. Save My Sanity

This may sound ridiculous... but clean up the "Human Interface Devices" on your machine. Either disable unused devices, or "remove" them. Reboot a couple of times. It's a trial and error thing. It's usually a device called "HID-compliant device" or "USB Human Interface Device". For some odd reason some of those devices mess up certain games that rely on Microsoft's WindowsMedia crap (like Darksiders and Prototype). And usually those devices are not even used for anything physically attached to your machine.

  10. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

So that's it. These republicans want to reduce the demand so that the price will drop, making the drugs for them cheaper?
  11. Recently QUITED games

World of Warcraft. I don't understand by people play this. I've tried it for about a day, leveled a guy up to 12. But all the "quests" are mundane and tedious. The whole game appears to revolve around stretching things as far as possible. There's really a shit load of walking involved. I don't mind the need to stroll around through the world (like my 60+ hours in new vegas shows). But in this game it's really walk 5 minutes to X, click to a very short "dialogue", walk back 5 minutes to complete quest. Also the inventory management is really shit, you cannot even compare items... Possibly the worst RPG I've ever played.
  12. New people: Read this, say hi.

I'll get the pitchforks and popcorn!
  13. I like to hear people tell what games they completed and what they thought of it. So the RCVG thread is important. It shouldn't get swamped with discussions though. So how about posting your RCVG in the RCVG thread and link to a followup thread? I'm not going to read threads about games I might not be interested it. But reading the RCVG thread might get me interested.
  14. Batman: Arkham City

That trailer doesn't really make me more excited about the game. Still looking forward to it though.

Wee..... just got back from another ski trip, this time it was 8 days of skiing. Still didn't encounter that ski monster (otherwise I wouldn't have been able to post this). I finally decided to buy some ski boots. Nothing beats owning shoes that fit better. Renting shoes is always a pain as those shoes rarely fit well. The guy at the store I bought it was really good, after inspecting my feet for about a minute he figured out the shoes that would fit me the best, and no, it wasn't the most expensive pair they had. If you're ever near alpe d'huez and want to buy ski boots, you should go to "Cyril's Sport". Snow conditions sucked quite a lot. The upper slopes (@ les deux alpes) were ok'ish, but outside of the slopes it was pretty much green.
