level 2 is simply ridiculous; you sometimes need to "jump"

Marty's hair was different?

"Unrated DVDrip" would probably be the best name

oh, I didn't get that from the linked article. The way I read the article Bulletstorm is almost a perfect fit. Even the red shoes guideline.

No, I was responding to the list of games CaptainFish mentioned. What do you mean it does not? Bulletstorm has blue skies and is overall quite colorful (but it's not an American game, as PCF is Polish). Or did I miss some part of the discussion?

Darksiders PC: (just barely) Just finished it, it's between and . I did like the game, and it was fun to play, but there are quite some things that sort of annoyed me. The main gripe is the closed room brawls where you have to fight a couple of waves of enemies. This mechanic is repeated ad nauseam and doesn't really make a lot of sense. But I guess it's the price of being a Zelda like game. The worst closed room fights were two segments of 4 arena fights. Arena segments are the worst part of games, specially when the goal is to stay alive for X minutes. It's lame, unoriginal, and just pointless stretching of game time. Another annoying part is that bosses are a walk in the park, mini-bosses are a bit more difficult, and the real difficulty is usually in the close room fights. Seriously, the bosses are just large/huge, but very weak. The world, setting and story are great. Everything does feel "bad ass" like the badass mofo you are. The music is forgettable, actually quite unnoticeable. And that's a good thing, because the music isn't quite suiting to the rest of the game. Anyway, if you like Zelda like action/adventure games with a lot more emphasis on fighting, then this game is a recommendation. You can follow up in the [thread=6527]darksiders thread[/thread]

Well... I can accept cops being morons that beat people with sticks, after all, the average street cop would probably below the average person. But moronic politicians, that's something I cannot accept.

Meet my friend Sarcasm; Sarcasm meet Armchair General. (without sarcasm: ) What I really wonder, wtf goes on in their heads. No way in hell could a sensible man think this kind of stuff is the way to go. Are they completely power-hungry and retarded? (Actually, that's an insult to retards, I'm sorry for that.) And that is also my seg to the complete and utter idiots (some/most/all(?) of the PVV people) what are currently in the Dutch government.

You should read the book "Masters of Doom"; it will make you more depressed on what Doom could have been.
-
You're examples all aim for the cartoonish look. Most games that go for photorealism do resort to diarrhea skies rather than blue skies. But luckily we have games like Enslaved or Bulletstorm that go for photorealism, but include colors. At least the game industry hasn't reached the current low of the movie industry with their Orange & Teal crap.

I like how those cops(?) hit people with sticks and pieces of wood. It makes them look so awesome. Why do you people get these awesome stick fighting cops, and we just get complete and utter morons in our government. Morons who apparently have a master degree in law (i.e. Lilian Helder; probably screwed a professor to get her degree). If you understand Dutch I dare you to watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9cNsK0s9WQ

why? just looks like a random collection of clips of Orange & Teal... and a few color movies

Just as easy as any other game. There aren't really UE3 default textures.
-
UT3 has blue sky levels. Some... well.. at least one. Also, UE3 games with blue skies: - Enslaved - Bulletstorm (it's blue with blood) - BioShock Infinite - Borderlands - Homefront - ... it's not UE3... it's the choice of textures by the developers :/

too... much... awesomeness ....

About a month ago I had a dream that you would create this thread. Eventually this thread got out of hand and some people were abducted by the secret service. So consider yourself warned.

Seems more like a bad console certification result.

In the tower you'll encounter ghost like foes, sometimes even 2 at the time. They have an attack that takes away about 3 health bars. Not a single boss so far did that much damage.

Still trying to complete this game. I really dislike the constant "locked room arena fights". And is it just me, or are these side brawls way more difficult than the actual boss fights? I think the game is putting it way too much gameplay elements that are only used for a short time. Just recently I gained the power of portals. I do dig the whole visual style of the game. It's just the actual gameplay that isn't that great. I rarely ever feel like I'm in real control of my actions (like I do had with Arkham Asylum).

Same for me. Although those skies didn't measure up to the skies of Unreal. Those were really amazing, with multiple layers of moving clouds and stuff. But that stuff went away and static skies returned

At least the game doesn't have any Teal, just the Orange.
