You don't need to think of excuses for VC I think VC > SA because I like the setting and music more. SA has a huge area, which is great, but also a down side. A lot of stuff is just tedious padding. Also, SA's story doesn't really develop that nicely, it's all over the place. Gameplay wise not that much has changed, except that in SA you can't really build up an empire, you keep getting kicked out of everything. GTA3, it wasn't a good port, it was unplayable for me when it came out. So I never played it.

But a vote for VC counts for two, so it should be at least: VC:

[thread=7771]Capsized[/thread] Awesome little game, but great music, fun gameplay, and quite some nice environments. The difficulty of the game ramps up quite fast in the end. In the beginning you can finish levels without dieing, then maybe one death, but the last few levels will take quite some lives. The last level is a bit of a "meat circus". Specially because wasting lives because you don't know how to continue. But overall it's a fun game.

ffs... looks like they are meatcircussing...

Damn, that's nice. It really looks like it was made in a chineese sweatshop.

I vote for Vice City. It has the best story and setting.

http://dvice.com/archives/2011/06/capcom-tries-to.php http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/35476/Capcom_Used_Sales_Not_A_Factor_In_The_Mercenaries_Save_System.php It's not like I replay games that often these days (quite a bit of backlog). But a DRM scheme like this degrades the game even more. I for one will not buy anymore capcom games (not sure if I even "own" capcom games). So capcom is now on the same shitlist as ubisoft.

I buy special editions of games, and I like the plastic crap that often comes with it.
-
All games I know let me start a new game where everything is in its initial state. And from what I understand this capcom game doesn't provide that "feature". Imagine playing Super Mario World, once you finish all special levels you will unlock an alternate tileset. Of course when you start a new game the original set is used. But with this DRM the alternative tileset will be permanent.

I think we should plan the transportation hub/community chest/spawn right from the start. I think it's best to create a simple hub near spawn that provides arrival and departures tracks in 4 directions. And not a track per destination. I've experimented with halfway stations, they don't work well. Timing of redstone wire isn't good enough to create reliable halfway stations. -

I do like the threat of mobs, but I wish there was a way to secure areas without lighting up the place. It would be much more awesome if there were mob spawners where the mobs actually come from, and when you destroy it the mobs will be gone forever.
