Well. at least you didn't dress her up as Link.

The bomb is fake. And they still have no trace of the "burglar". This whole story smells.

I finally managed to push through the last part of the final battle (I hope). At least, I now have to fight that main guy. It took me a shitload of tries to even get to that part because for some stupid reason when I killed the last RPG guy I was instantly killed by the final boss, so I had to redo the battle before that again, and again, and again. But now I only have to fight the boss. And jfc it's even worse than the parts before. His knife attack is pretty much an instant death. Of course my team mate doesn't do anything else by die within a couple of seconds. It also doesn't help that in my checkpoint I start with a semi dead team mate, and a sniper rifle. This final battle is worse than Meat Circus, and worse than Trine's final level. It's simply no longer fun. And survival pretty much depends on chance, the chance to get enough bullets in this guy's body for him to back off.

Woohoo... managed to finish it. Didn't get all trinkets, and died a shit load of times (600+). Some rooms were really really reaaaally annoying, but still doable.

I put 60 hours in the bare game (according to vaporized water). Haven't done any DLC.

I really don't know what to say. I played ME as a female Sheppard, seemed more suitable for the character (human race otoh wasn't relevant). But in the end, it doesn't really matter if you played as male or female. It would have been interesting if it did. I don't think you can pick any side in this whole ME3 female Sheppard voting withing being a sexist. Besides, it's simply a popularity vote. For me, all Sheppards shown were wrong (I would have picked a brunette version of the blonde). Also, why is the blonde suddenly a bimbo? Just because she's blonde? Would it have been better if a fugly red head would have won?

So I picked up this game again after it has been collecting dust for quite a bunch of months. And I managed to drag myself along up to the final battle. It took me quite some agony to get to the palace. At one point I reached a checkpoint when I was respawned in the line of fire of 4 enemies, not fun at all. This game is really about pushing forward as fast as possible to reach checkpoints, otherwise you'll just waste ammo shooting down an infinite supply of enemies. So, now I'm at the final battle. And boy is it a terrible creation. First of all, you approach the palace with like 20 team mates. And then continue with only 1 team mate (why on earth would you do that). In the final battle you have to fight a couple of waves of enemies, some enemies even spawn behind you (so I guess those idiots that would defend the palace died). I managed to beat the first segment after quite a bunch of tries. But I can't manage to get beyond the second segment, keep getting killed. My team mate is more or less useless, barely kills anyone and appears to prefer getting in my way.

Just youtube it, some of them are everything but obvious and the secret level is really worth it

More like 14 years ago. 10 years ago was 2001 and I already received a shit load of spam.

Have you played the secret level? To get there, find all those white things, and then go back to the place where you found the "alone in the dark" white thing and keep walking to the right.

Mein Thumbcraft—IdleT Dedicated Minecraft Server
elmuerte replied to MrHoatzin's topic in Multiplayer Networking
What? I've spend billions of hours on minecraft server. I'm just saying that being able to simply spawn blocks does ruin part of the fun, then again, it does contribute to fun in an other way (hence, mixed feelings). -

nice... but there is no entrance :/ I really should get back to this "game" and do stuff. But the current era doesn't really tickle my interest. Also, I have mixed feelings concerning the cheating. Isn't there a nicer mod for that? So that it at least takes some effort to duplicate? -

I didn't mean jaggies like that. With voxels the jaggies become worse when you get closer to the voxel, the jaggies will become larger than pixels. You get the same thing with semi-transparent textures. Of course you can delay that issue by using smaller voxels. With voxel technology the performance hit is more or less linear with the target resolution. See for example the next demo, it uses voxels which are ordered in a spare tree which makes voxel lookup seriously fast: VpEpAFGplnI I don't know that much about point clouds to know how the rastering works, but it doesn't appear to suffer much from jaggies. But I think they also use sparse trees for storage. Another cool voxel demo: TjmRPjnWJ5g But the problems remains, reordering the voxels is way too expensive to do in realtime. So animation is a serious problem. Also, with sparse trees adding and removing voxels can be a hefty operation (changing the color not so much).

I think it has something to do with "what feet are doing", because Ron posted quite a bunch of pictures of what his feet were doing.

It's not voxels, but point cloud. They have a lot of similarities, except that point clouds have a much higher level of detail and don't have the usual voxel rendering artifacts (jaggies). There are quite some point cloud rendering engines, and so far they all have the same problem: only works on preprocessed static data. So, no dynamic lighting, no animation, no deformation, etc. in real time.

You know it's 2011 right?

It's rainbox six all over again. A friend of mine really couldn't throw a grenade if his life depended on it.
