Awesome, then I'm going to order a copy. And if it is locked I'm coming for your liver. Just kidding I'll be coming for your kidneys. ps, amazon should update the product page and remove that bold text that it is region locked.

Looks a bit like Mirror's Edge with Guns and Grit.

Almost no one finishes games, but what about episodes?
elmuerte replied to toblix's topic in Video Gaming
I haven't had a game that is too hard. Although I sometimes do encounter meat circus and might cause me to put the game aside. But that doesn't mean I won't come back in the future to finish it off. The "it's boring" is usually the reason for me not to continue a game. But I often try to finish it anyway. Proof of this is me finishing Dragon Age 2. An other reason why I would never finish a game is because the gameplay clashes with me. I have this problem with The Witcher, I simply do not like a lot of the game mechanics. And then there is of course the thing Rodi mentioned. Getting games with extreme discount to simply try it out. But I see that more as demoing the game. Normally I would simply pirate the game the game to try it out, but if it's sold for a good price I might simply fork over the money. I haven't bought a ubisoft game since the first incarnation of always-on DRM, so it's not an issue for me. I don't have the feeling that I'm missing out, there are plenty of other games I can spend my money on. -
Just pirated that episode. Damn... talking about low staff morale, especially that balding guy with the glasses. Must have been murder for that guy the whole drive to the head office fearing that he'd be fired from his "shitty" job.

So, what's up with the region locking? Is it gone yet? Can I go "out" and order a copy?

That's odd. Because ZeniMax has an UK office, which means they could handle taxes for all EU countries from the UK. Or they could do it from their French, German or Dutch office. Through those offices ZeniMax handles the whole retail publishing stuff in Europe, so why couldn't they also do digital? Of course that doesn't change much for Norway considering it's not EU. Rockstar really can't play that card. Take2 is simply too huge for that.

It means that it's available for $29,99 for people outside the US. But I would buy the retail copy at thehut.com because it costs the same and you'll get trinkets.

I take it that the guy's beard is attached to your face?

I already received the preorder as a birthday gift, so no special edition for me :/

Damn it... TW1s fighting was probably what I hated the most. It's like a continuous QTE.

TW2 looks awesome. Maybe I should play it... but TW1 didn't really leave a good impression on me. It didn't really click, not sure why, but it's probably the rather complex interaction stuff. In TW2 more arcade-like like the TES games?

Oh wait. "Unstoppable", the one with the runaway train. Somehow that got mixed up with "Unbreakable" in my head. Unstoppable is entertaining, but some parts are really annoying. Movies like that, with only one thing going on, don't really do it for me. You know they're going to stop that train, and it will be a close call, etc. etc.

I agree with brkl. Although, I might not have liked Book of Eli because I had a different idea what that movies should have been. (I wanted it to be more Fallout).

Yes, and stay away from the main quest. Because at some point you'll reach the phase in the game that will start spawning random oblivion gates. That was the point that ruined the game for me. I was happily exploring the world until that. I closed like 30 oblivion gates, and then decided to rush through the main story to get rid of the damn things. After that, I didn't feel like continuing the game anymore. I played it in the same way as Morrowind and Daggerfall. Simply do whatever I feel like, and sometimes a main quest. But this didn't work great for Oblivion (see above) and it worked terrible for Fallout 3 (because you could skip 50% of the game if you didn't watch out). New Vegas sort of fixed that, because there were now multiple main quest lines. Also, Oblivion was rather nerfed. Becoming the head of guilds was way too easy. Oblivion was so long ago, I can't recall to what it fixed w.r.t. Morrowind. I believe they did bring back fast travel, right?

the gravitron without dying!? impossible

I'd also prefer a Morrowind 2.0 over a Oblivion 1.5
