Tomorrow I'll be able to comment on Rage PC running on my PC, if Steam will finally allow me. I preloaded the thing... twice... and when I pressed "play" a few hours a ago it started decrypting, which takes 2 hours!? It's done now, but it's complaining that my graphics drivers are out of date, even though I have the latest stable drivers... Anyway... not in the mood to play the game right now.

I received it as a birthday present, so I'll be playing it this weekend and see how it goes. But yeah, so far it looks like it's the worst tech demo Id released ever (apparently there are also a shit load of technical issues, specially for people with Radeon GPUs): http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/10/04/raging-about-rage-pc/

I'm going to ignore the game is called Syndicate, because I'm interested in playing the game. But I agree, it's Deus Ex: Lethal Weapon

If you're self employed... then being unemployed is easy... erm... I... I'm not really sure, if you have a business which is making money then I guess you're not unemployed. But your dad fired you? Then you're unemployed. This thing is starting to become confusing. Are you good at writing? Maybe you should write a TV series on this and sell the rights. This whole ordeal sounds much more interesting than the average tripe that's on TV.

The person working (employee). The employer cannot check, and has no business to do so, if an employee is defrauding money. The employer only gets into trouble when (s)he hires somebody who is not allowed to work (in that position).

I didn't really like this Dr Who season. I prefer more isolated episodes. This was just a large story arc.

I'm missing the punch line... what's the evil plan?

Block's That Matter A fun little platform puzzle game. I finished the story part of the game. I really hates the few "big mamma" encounters. Unlike other levels these encounters are timed levels, stand still for too long (or be too slow) and you're dead. The other levels are good, puzzle difficultly is good. I never had the problem that I couldn't figure out how to beat the level. Great thing is that if you want more difficulty you can go for the 2 challenges each level has: getting a special block, and finishing with enough blocks to get a star. Specially getting the star is often difficult. [thread=7874]Thread about this game[/thread].

Bastion Fun game, beautiful art. The continuous story telling is quite nice. It's a real shame you can't return to previous areas you visited. You just keep continuing along a linear path. It's way longer than I would have thought, but it wasn't too long. I'd like a more action/adventure like game set in this whole style. That would be absolutely awesome.

interesting options... You already have a normal car? Because you live in the UK... when it either rains, or is foggy. i.e. not a great place for a car within a roof.

For static large file hosting you might want into something like amazon's S3. It scales in price better than the average hosting service. -

It was all a misunderstanding. All the designer wanted was to meet her. But the iPhone spellchecker picked the wrong correction.

Replaced my (hopefully*) broken UPS today with a smaller one. A smaller one? yes, I didn't feel like hauling a 14kg UPS to home (about 10 minute walk). Besides, 700VA should be enough, old UPS was 1200VA but was also mean to sustain 2 machines for a few minutes. *) yes, hopefully broken. Because if that sound didn't come from my old workstation, and not from my old UPS, then I will go insane.

I don't like that cross over stuff. Freeman has no place in this universe.

of course, it takes a lot of work to create all those 1s and 0s
