I wouldn't say AA was a port, it felt and played like a game made for the PC.

Well played. If I was the hat carrying kind,... you'd know the deal.

That would be neat, I would be in. The pure creative stuff is a bit boring. -
Pretty sure it was 19 oct last time I checked.

Ugh... my internet connection is broken. And Steam insists in downloading a Steam patch, which takes ages over UTMS. Maybe I should boot my old PC which has more games installed (and activated). Got to love DRM. Of course it would be impossible to play any recent Ubisoft or Blizzard game right now.

argh... what happened to my hair and nose...

You think that's insane, check this: http://vimeo.com/12171944 "History of the typewriter recited by Michael Winslow"

I agree. -
The worst thing about Daggerfall was reaching the main city (i.e. Daggerfall) at night.

What? no horse bag?

They should add random encounters to fast travel. Of course these encounters should depend on the route taken, and distance. So, you would drop out of fast travel some where are the location you were traveling to. They should give you the option to fast travel on roads (i.e. safe but takes longer) or as fast as possible (with increased chance of encounters).

I bought this game last week when it was on sale, and have been playing it for quite a bit. This game is actually quite terrible on a lot of levels. It's like The Sims meets RPG. A lot of things have been dumbed down a lot. It's nothing like Fable 1. One thing that really annoys me that almost every conversation is a joke (well, attempt to it). An other thing that is really terrible is the "quick travel" feature. It will usually drop you off at the other side of the map instead of close to it. The pathfind of the dog is also terrible, and considering you need him to dig makes it worse. Of course the dog doesn't even help you out in battles. What happened that they changed the quite ok action/adventure like RPG called Fable 1 to this? Did they waste too much time on the house decorating minigame rather than the actual game?
-
Nice. But I don't think it's a right fit for Minecraft's retro-style.
-
that sounds correct... but I do recall some more free form of fast traveling in Morrowind. Maybe I installed a mod.
-
afaik fast travel was always there, it's just that you need to have visited the location first before you can fast travel to it.

Oh, I didn't know it was BethSoft's goal to make Fallout 3 much less like Fallout 1 and 2 wrt to quests. With "less deep" I meant sequence of related quests. Most side-quests in Oblivion were just singular quests; with the exception of some guild quests. Morrowind had more side quests that had multiple phases. So random regenerated content will return? Awesome. I wonder how they're going to pull that off considering it's quite difficult to do that for full 3D environments.
-
Why not? But compare TES4 with TES3, it contains much less side content, and the side content is less deep. Now cmpare TES3 with TES2, even less side content. Granted, TES2 relied a lot on random generated content. But besides that, it included way more factions which also had transitive effects when joining. Anyway, we'll see what happens with Skyrim.

Argh! Now I'm confused again about comma usage. Stupid natural languages. Y U SO HARD! (:some rage comic here:)
-
Maybe it's a Spanish thing ¿ Punctuation can, or is, sometimes complicated, but often quite logical. (I probably messed up somewhere.) Worst thing is that rules are often very different in different languages. There's are quite some nice examples with commas. Like the "Let's eat grandma" image. This one is also great:
-
And that of course. However, I do fear less side content. Starting from Morrowind less and less stuff could be done besides the main quest. Fallout 3 was quite thin on the ability to ignore the main quest and do wtf you want.

In game counter said 17 hours. Not sure why it took me 7 hours more. Maybe I wasted a lot of time trying to find stuff that wasn't there. I did play a bunch of minigames though. Except for the card game all the minigames sucked. Specially the dice game is dumb. It could be my play style, most of the time I was sneaking around rather than rambo-ing.
