I don't agree that IPS panels have gather more public awareness. It's just that IPS panels have increased in performance, and decreased in price a lot. This makes them more suitable for general purpose usage. It's still difficult to find non-TN panels when looking for TFTs, it's rarely mentioned what panel type they use. I didn't know iPad used IPS. It is probably the best choice considering the extreme angles people look at the thing.

Oh right... I just hooked up the monitor. I guess I need to increase the mouse speed even more now considering my desktop is even larger. I went from 1280×1024+1680×1050 to 1680×1050+1920×1200 So far I can recommend it.

5:4 is great for a second and third monitor; I now have 2x16:10. the most extreme left is almost outside of my passive FOV. 16:9 is just means I have to scroll more. Most non-video content is vertically oriented

Apparently there's sometimes stuff hidden in a mission. Almost at the end of mission 3 I found a helicopter drop. Not sure if it made the battle after that easier, but at least it was a nice surprise. Now if there only was something giving you the ability to complete the side missions. There's simply not enough time to pick up all artifacts, prisoners, etc.

Sorry. I didn't expect to find a suitable monitor with good reviews which was on stock in such a short notice.

After reading these two reviews, I think I'm going for the Dell UltraSharp U2412M: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2412m.htm http://www.flatpanelshd.com/review.php?subaction=showfull&id=1312883832 It has an IPS panel, which has great colors. But people often warn about those panels for gaming because of the ghosting and input lag. But if I would believe those two reviews, this Dell does quite well on that level. In fact, it's probably better than my current main monitor which is a Dell E207WFP.

I also don't like iTunes. But I sometimes have to use it because my work phone is an iPhone. It's always the same shit. Every time I need to use it I first need to update it. And after updating I of course need to remove all the crapware services it installs. All that, just to update the iPhone OS.

Just finished some 2 player coop with Armchair. Missions are much easier with more people, or at least it took us half the time I needed during single player. Great thing is that leveling continues in both MP and SP. One annoying thing you encounter when playing with multiple people is the fact that you can drive each other off the road by slightly bumping each other. Oh, there's also a thing called fall damage. At a certain point in mission 2 I thought: Screw it, I'm taking a short cut and jump off this cliff. But when I reached the ground my car exploded. Right behind me I saw Armchair following the same path to demise. So that was fun
