I never buy stuff from steam unless it's in a proper steam sale (i.e. >33%). Retailers are quite often much cheaper.
-
Divinity 2 also has "FADE", which means that for whatever reason part of the game might break if the DRM decides the game is no longer legal enough. The only way to find out if the SecuROM version used sucks is to check the internet for issues people have
-
It really depends on what SecuROM version and modules they use. For example, the SecuROM as used by Arkham City isn't the shitty version, they use both the simple DVD Check (haven't seen that in a long while) and SecuROM PA in it's most basic form (release date check). The latter is also on the Steam release. Alice: Madness Returns doesn't use SecuROM, but EA's own DRM thingy (it's not Origin) and that thing is much more of a hell. There have been games however that used much worse version of SecuROM, those versions usually don't like it when certain legitimate system tools are running. These often have a negative impact on the game itself (stability and performance issues).

LOL... I had a bit too much to drink and ended up in Markath, and there was also something with a goat? Talk about a hang over. Markath is a real shit hole, I don't like what's going on over there.

I've figured how to use the menu, specially the speech menu, without too many false selections. Simply don't use the mouse at all, make sure the mouse pointer is on the left of the pointer thingy, and then use the cursor keys to find the correct option. Just make sure you watch the slight change in font color.

It's too early for a Skyrim sale right now. But there's a change you need to empty your xmas agenda
-
I didn't mess around with the settings, so I was using the defaults. Just checked in the options, and stuff is on high, but DX11 stuff is off.

So far this game is great. I like how Rocksteady starts with the games, instead of just getting right into the action or getting a more or less non interactive opening cinematic it's a bit of both. The city is quite large, and I already got lost within 45 minutes. But now, back to Skyrim ... or maybe Arkham City... ps, the game runs fine on my system and I do have a nVidia card.

You should not have winamp running while installing this game. Because it will prevent the prompt for disc 2 appearing. So much for listening to the sound track while installing it. I think. Or it simply takes a ridiculous long time. Also, the OST isn't original music, but licensed music.

Just picked up my collector's PC edition. Ultimate lameness: the OST is a piece of paper with a redeem code :/ On the plus side, the box also contains a piece of paper that has a picture of the plastic batman in the box and the text "SHARP POINTS" and lines pointing to the sharp point So I must try if those points are actually sharp Bethesda should have done the same with the dragon statue The art booklet is acceptable, although some notes in the concept art are difficult to read. The box itself gets a What a terrible construction.

There was an introversion sale on Steam during last xmas sale thingy, so you're probably confused with that. Anyway... if there's one game you really should play it's Darwinia, it's an absolute gem.

neat... bought it, although I already own a few of those albums. For example PPPPPP is awesome, and so is the stuff from Danny Baranowsky.

It's still a ubisoft game. And ubisoft hates PC gamers because 95% of them are parrot carrying pirates.

Don't forget that you are unable to the spend money on the games you want

Shouldn't that be "Afro-American Friday Deals"? I'm not up to speed on having an opinion terms.

ugh... the recent steam patch put the game stability back to a crash every 30 minute or something. The LAA tweak really improved the stability for me. But that now no longer works, hopefully the new tweak works.

A few days ago I found an interesting archery trainer high up in the mountains. Instead of paying money, there's actual training involved. I don't like the idea of simply paying for an instant increase in experience. There isn't a real penalty. In Daggerfall this was much better, training took game-world time and money. And you couldn't train too often in a row with a single trainer. It was much more restrictive. Anyway, today I jumped off the the huge waterfalls in the south east. Found a dungeon that was filled with those tough weird gollum like creatures and their very tough insect pets. That was a hard fight, but I won \o/

I'm having fun. I could walk around for hours clearing an occasional dungeon. This game just does it for me. But I can understand that it doesn't do it for you, I have the same with RDR. I think with the new skill system it's not really obvious how badass you are, or not, compared to the rest. So some creatures might look very tough, but are peanuts to defeat at some point, while others are tough as rocks. Also, some creatures have funny weaknesses. I killed a giant once with little effort.

Hmm... then I'm simply carrying too much crap around. I'd really welcome a mod that fixes the inventory system. Or at least a mod that fixed the mouse controls for the whole UI system.

Blocks That Matter: An Ode To All "Blocky" Game?
elmuerte replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
That level could have used a checkpoint halfway. -
I'm pretty sure the listed weight does count towards my carry weight. Most quest items are not that heavy, except these blade shards which have a weight of 6 :/ Anyway. I just completed an awesome Dwemer quest. I visited an enormous Dwemer thingy, and it finished with quite a difficult boss fight. And when I finally came out (on a balcony) I was attacked by a dragon. ffs.
-
I don't think so. It was just one of those caves that's a bit more special. I'm starting to get a bit annoyed. I keep picking up quest items. Some of them are part of an active quest. But I also have quest items belonging to a quest I don't have on my list yet. This is really annoying because all they do is take up space in my inventory. I wish I could put these items inside a chest of my home :/ They should make quest items weightless.

Skyrim is a 32bit application. 4GB is pretty much enough to run it. 8GB is more than enough right now, but considering 16GB isn't much more expensive you might as well future proof your machine a bit.

I went back to that cave that I couldn't clear a bunch of days ago. I figured I was now bad ass enough to clear it. Those creatures that kicked the shit out of me were now no longer a problem. But then I continued and I encounter some really powerful bugs that almost killed me. I continued and then I found . Oh, and I accidentally my horse from a cliff when going to that cave. So not I have to a new horse. btw, how do you guys take down dragons? I usually hide behind stuff and fire a whole bunch of arrows at them until they die. I tried killing one with my axe, but it killed me faster than I could recover from.
