Bioshock without guns? day one perch!
  2. Now, this is security: The zombie couldn't enter the house.
  3. well.. he does have a mustache, and facial hair is of significance in programming languages
  4. I have that book. Never read it though, because it was part of course work. The only book I've actually read is Clean Code by Robert C Martin. Still on my wish list to read are Code Complete and Clean Coder. I don't believe you can learn to program by reading a book about how to program in language X. You would learn a bit about the syntax, and probably a lot of programming mistakes by reading those books. I'd stick to reference manuals/books and generic programming/software development books. (Note: K&Rs C book is more a reference manual than a book on how to program in C).
  5. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

I fully support what elmuerte is going to say about the subject of supporting the view of me on this matter.
  6. General Video Game Deals Thread

It's not a single player game. It has two: Ben and Dan.

  8. Zorro Joins Double Fine

So.. more wizards in DF games?
  9. Movie/TV recommendations

I dislike the story arcs of the last few Eureka seasons. I preferred the early type of episodes that were isolated stories. Warehouse 13 is just *ugh*.
  10. I've tried a couple, but I always go back to vanilla
  11. Nice. My ride stopped right before the "art" sign though, had to walk a little.
  12. enchanting you say... must look into that, I haven't found any diamonds yet :/
  13. So, is everybody gearing up using the commands? Because I see a lot of people with pretty expensive gear. So far I've been playing almost pure survival. I've only used fly to get back to the main area to check stuff out.
  14. I found 2 mob spawners in the mine below my house, rigged them up to allow you to easily kill the zombies and harvest the XP. Need to create a fence around my house, those zombies bashing on the door are really loud
  15. Amanita Design and GOG: This could get ugly.

I think I'll buy it via Humble Bundle and give Amanita a 0% share.
  16. Grim Dawn

Backed it, I loved Titan Quest, liked it much more than Diablo 2.
  17. omg... I'm gone for a few days and the server went from "woohoo new idlemc" to "omfg what a shit load of awesome things"
  18. Legend of Grimrock - Tile based Dungeon Crawler!

I'm playing with the default character layout. It's not as awesome as Stonekeep was. But still I'm loving it so far.
  19. damnit... I'm out of the country this weekend. So I'll miss the grand opening.
  20. Legend of Grimrock - Tile based Dungeon Crawler!

Stonekeep was semi-realtime. I preordered this game because of stonekeep. I'm not ancient enough for Dungeon Master
  21. Legend of Grimrock - Tile based Dungeon Crawler!

  22. Ah yes, now I remember. In the third one I build a haunted mansion and a maze with twisty passages all alike.
  23. I'm a bit fuzzy. Was Epoch 1 the one with the enormous "Idle " sign and the huge Moai?
  24. Is there a mod that allows you to un-mob an area? For example, fence it and light it up, and then the next day within that area mobs will never span again? I think that would be the best. Or maybe using anti-mob torches that do not emit light. I didn't enjoy creative mode, I really prefer survival. But I don't like the requirement for lighting up the whole place. It's fun being able to play with light. But I rather light up the place than go creative.
  25. Movie/TV recommendations

Only on days that are a prime number.
