I hate those Skulls. Just did Mission 16, the one where you have to capture the truck. After many failures to complete it I looked up how to complete the mission. First tried a solution I found on youtube, but that didn't work for me. The damn truck kept getting destroyed before I could escape. Then I found a reddit post full of loathing on this mission, and some other ways. Eventually I succeeded. But it was no on my terms. Fuck the skulls. They do not make the game fun.

Redstorm had all the rights to the Tom Clancy games (as it was owned by Tom Clancy himself) and was sold to Ubisoft in early 2000. So there's not rights issue.

there is plenty of space available :/

The bundle is incomplete. It's missing Rogue Spear, it's mission packs, and all mission packs for the original Ghost Recon. Also, I doubt they fixed the multiplayer (which depended on mplayer, gamespy, ... other dead tech) so you can only do the single player campaigns.

you mean the target practice thing?

Wait... is that date in European notation or US notation?

I'm sorry, but that's not James Bond! That's Mickey, Mickey Briggs.

I usually buy physical copies when they are available. Especially when they are gigantic to download as I only have 17Mbps. GTA5 asshole action of only shipping 90% of the content on disk was not appreciated at all. It took me more than a day to download the remaining 5GiB due to shitty Rockstar CDN. Up to release Steam had a better deal of MGS5:PP as it contained GZ for free (20 euro "worth") for the same 60 euro pricetag. The cheapest "physical" copy I found was 48 euros. This is the first time I heard about a "code in box" rather than a steam pre-load on disc.

this isn't going anywhere. How about next Sunday at 21:00 CEST?

A Story About My Uncle It's a shot non-violent 3D platforming game. You've got jump boots and a grappling hook which has a couple of charges before you need to land. It has quite a gorgeous world through which you traverse. There's also a bit of a story. It's short, but quite nice. Took me a little over 2 hours to go through. As with most 3D platforming games you often fail to stick your landing, or grapple on a suitable surface. Near the end there are a couple of infuriating parts. Unlike most games, non of the achivements are easy to get, in fact, some of them are seriously challenging (complete a level without falling, complete a level with only X grapplings).

The Brink with Jack Black and Tim Robbins was an some short series. Season 1 just ended. It's funny and it's really "one more episode" stuff.

Just wanted to make clear it was not my rockstar life, but rockstar the company that was being the problem.

You know, a lot of these recommendations are not suitable when sipping whisky. Too much action, and two hands needed. I'm going to count an evening to be up to 4 hours, the really sort ones are marked with ^. - Back to bed - Botanicula - Brothers - The Cave* (multiple replays possible) - Cradle** - Jazz Punk* - Little Inferno^ - Mind: Path to Thalamus* - The Misadventures of PB Winterbottom^/* - Mountain^ - Never Alone* - The Novelist^/** - Puzzle Agent 1+2 - Samorost 2^ - The Swapper* - Time Gentlemen, Please! - Type: Rider* - Unmechanical* - Vanashing of Ethan Carter* - Windowsill^ - The Yawhg - Town of Salem ^) 2 hours or less *) these games require both hands to play **) requires both hands, but plenty of time to pick up a glass of whisky once in a while.

No, rockstar thought it was a good idea to only open heists for (re)play when you were the host, or open them all once you've completed them all. I've hosted the first heist, and after that I've only been a participant in heists planned by Ysbreker. So even though I've completely every part of all the heists up to the last one, I'm not allowed to start the last heist myself.
-
Are there still people playing this? I still need to do the last heist (and somebody to host that heist because I cannot do that for rockstar reasons)
-
Nope, had the The middle ending.

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

sounds like you haven't reached the tower defense part yet -
You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike. That and the fact that you move really really slow makes the game feel so long. I think you choose a different path because I didn't have a lot of corpses of her. I'm not sure if I feel like going back to play the alternate paths and the game is so tedious.

Cradle: Gone Home but with androids instead of ghosts
elmuerte replied to vimes's topic in Video Gaming
can be finished in 4 hours I think -
I do not agree with Jake(?) that Fez has the best crash/reboot thingy. Arkham Asylum is clearly the best. The XBox version (check the last screen's content):

Just fail the mini games, and you get a prompt to skip them. -
Why wouldn't Matt be good in this? He's been the talented Mr Riply. He's been the rainmaker. He's been a good Will Hunting. He can do talking movies.
