it's a shame you can't build stuff, and dig for diamonds
  2. Planetary Annihilation

I have two friends you would probably enjoy that. They've played a lot of TA, and a ton of Supreme Commander.
  3. Gifts - Stuff for Free

I also received a 75% off Portal 2 coupon today, so prod me if you're interested. Stuff in my previous post is still up for grabs.
  4. Assange

Could have been lost in translation somewhere. I used to follow the story in the beginning, but I more or less lost interest after I parked my ass in the "this is all a scheme to discredit Assange and thereby WikiLeaks and move attention away of the WL publications"-park. At this moment it's probably impossible to get any straight information when searching for it, and it's probably biased either way (like my own opinion). Anyway, of what I have read when I did follow pretty much came down to: he had consential sex with both women; and days, if not weeks, after the fact the women suddenly pressed charges. I'm not going to defend Assange to be a great guy. I don't know him, for all I know he is an ass, and from the various reliable articles I read about him and the WL work he's involved in, is that he's quite invested in the WL stuff and often quite detached from reality. He relies on people to take care of "simple" things, like getting on the plane on time, or eating, or getting his clothes cleaned. But that's not much different from quite a lot of people in similar ideological positions. Read this article for a good indication on the man.

Really? I never noticed that, or at least, I don't recall re-spawning enemies. So they must have done it quite well.
  6. Assange

In Sweden women can. One woman revoked consent because she found out he was also dating/seeing an other woman or something. The other woman revoked consent because the condom broken and claims Assange did that on purpose. If you want to know more about it, read the wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assange_v_The_Swedish_Prosecution_Authority I think it's really weird that he's not charged with anything. They want him for a 2nd round of questioning, after that they might charge him with sexuellt ofredande
  7. Life

    what does that mean?
  8. Assange

It's not a rape charge, because 1) he hasn't been charged 2) the crime is "sex with revoked consent". Anyway, I hope the UK invades the embassy, cause an international incident (very close to declaring war), and show that the UK really is a lapdog of the US. Lastly, the distraction is working. People focus on Jullian Assange rather than the stuff WikiLeaks is reporting.

    What's IA? Interaction A...?
  11. Iron Brigade

looks like it's available in the Netherlands part of Europe

Have you even played Alone in the Dark? Sure, "fight" might be an option a couple of times, but next to the fight option there are other options which are often way more effective. The fight option is even very limited due to the very low amount of ammo. I haven't played Amnesia yet, but the way you describe it, it sound like your options are limited?

Sounds like your mindset has already been polluted by the 13 in a dozen shooters. This reminds me of an other discussion I read somewhere, probably here, just because you can kill doesn't mean you have to.
  14. Music of the games of video

I can't believe I haven't posted Mass Effect yet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lpu5cTk_qvI The whole soundtrack is absolutely amazing.

AitD did have weapons, but you didn't have to use them to win the game. Raynal's idea was to create a game where fighting wasn't needed. That's why he hated AitD2 and later where fighting was made a more important factor.
  16. More Famous Than Vanaman: Jonathan Blow

Blow is famous because people keep saying he's famous and people want to talk to famous people.
  17. Routine

Still sounds like survival horror, but without guns. More or less like the original Alone in the Dark.
  18. Routine

That looks neat. I'm not a big of perma death because I don't enjoy replying the game thing, so ...
  19. Photos of things

ragdoll is going to murder you. It's obvious from picture #2, and in picture #3 he's imagining how.

  21. Recently completed video games

I tried that, but it didn't work for me. I think. Anyway, the backtracking for that sucks.

Sword & Sworcery EP (PC) (borderline ) Music: awesome. Art style: great. Gameplay: shit. It took me quite a while to finish this because it was vague, tedious and annoying to play (on the PC). Pretty much the whole game is about tedious trial and error. Way too much QTEs during battles, and for the rest the game is like those awful adventuregames where the solution makes no sense at all. The whole messing around with time was just dumb. You basically have to wait for a few days before you can continue playing, talking about breaking immersion. Obviously I cheated and changed the system time.

Saints Row 2 Started this game after Saints Row 3. There are quite a bunch of things wrong with this game, or at least when you consider this game is from late 2008. The most annoying parts were the sound quality, extremely high volume during cinematic, and poor vehicle handling. But if you delude yourself and think it's a game from 2004 it's not a big problem. Anyway, I think had quite some fun playing this game. So I'm giving it a . There were a few missions that took me a bunch of tries because I kept getting killed for stupid reasons (really overpowered by enemies). Volition learned a lot if you compare this game to SR3. So many things have been improved in SR3 (gameplay wise). If you really liked SR3, you might also enjoy messing around in SR2 specially given the budget price it has right now.
