First UE4 game by Epic is not a game with high resolution timers or models. Also, the large number of UDK based games made by small teams shows that you don't need a large team to use the UnrealEngine. Just because you can, doesn't mean you have to.

No it doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense at all. The first colossus was locked to a rediculous small area. Right outside the main temple is an enormous large area with absolutely nothing. There's hardly a tree or flower. Why would a bird fly around at places where there is no food or nesting abilities. If there's any excuse for the lack of a active world out there it would be technical but not due to game world logic. How many games released around the same time as SotC even had fauna? Then again, Unreal from 1998 did have quite some fauna.

Ok, so I saved some fruit from a tree and a lizard from its white tail. These are hidden quite well, and the camera doesn't help. Afterwards I saved by saving at the save ruin to save. btw, I don't think there are different lizards, just one lizard and you can "cut" its silver/white tail and eat it.

Maybe I should boot up the game and look around a bit. So I can save at some save ruins, right? Is the starting place a save ruin?

Some how the graphics hurt my eyes. There's something wrong with it.

I've killed the first Colossus. It took me about 30 minutes, or at least, that's what the savegame said. So now I have to wait 2 weeks to kill the next one?

Yeah I don't know, gathering flowers to make health potions!? Oh wait... so it's like Skyrim without dragons.

I haven't played it yet. First had to upgrade my PS3, then install a patch for SotC, and then I could finally start the game. One hour later I finally reached the point where I could move. That game has a really really long intro. Do they speak Japanase? Or is it a made up language?

Ok, my copy arrived. So I'll be killing a colossus later today.

As mentioned earlier, for me there is no game that is head and shoulders above the others. So I'm just going to list my top 3. Journey Labelled as experience rather than game, and what a wonderful experience it is. I had some really memorable playthroughs with others, who I don't know. Legend of Grimrock Classic dungeon crawling with a modern paintjob (read: graphics). It didn't have a great story, but the gameplay was so awesome. If it was more like Stonekeep this would have been my GOTY, but such a task is almost out of reach for a 4 man team. Dishonored A stealth game where I actually had do think about my approach once in a while. I should have played on a higher difficulty level with my play style. Non-2012 games that deserve special mentioning: Saints Row The Third Over the top GTA like action. Should have picked this up when it was released in 2011, but somehow it didn't grab my attention back then. I really would like more of this nonsense. Maybe not as ridiculous as this game, but not as "serious" as GTA4 was.

I think they "fixed" the DRM, still UPlay tho But for be its still a no sale given the fact that it's Ubisoft.

I've been checking http://www.steamregionalprices.com/ EU region 2 is rarely ever cheaper, usually the same price. But there's some other steam region locking going on? Because Dark Souls is available for EU region 2 (?cc=pl and ?cc=cz give results). ee, lt, and bg don't have Dark Souls, but I thought they were region 2. Anyway, I'll wait for the vote
