HDDs can also fail silently. SSD go from working to completely unreadable instantly. You can recover a lot of data from a broken HDD, this isn't the case for SSD.

Just finished #3. The camera and controls are really a pain in the ass, and the fighting was tedious as usual. It took me a shit load of tries to walk up the sword because the player kept falling off even though I was pressing hold. And then there's the boring long chipping away small parts of his hitpoints and then waiting for the shake animation to stop, and repeat. -
Damn. This doesn't work. Putting a gift in your inventory results in a new ID. So I cannot track gifts. And when sending the gift back it also gets a new id, so that can be abused. I need to come up with a rule on handling the inventory items. Maybe I should only allow the highest number count. So if you have 4 of those gifts, and you register it, it will count 4 times. If you give 2 away, and get 1 new (so you have 3), registering again will keep the original 4. (count includes the game in your library).

Argh... I stuck in the Time Traveler level, I have the bucket but for the rest I cannot figure out what to do. edit: never mind I figured it out. I'm pretty sure the dino didn't react the previous time I tried that -
I know that, I just think it's a weird alignment you've got going on there. (And windows sometimes forgets monitor placement)

didn't we feature Hotline Miami yet? The M.O.O.N. stuff is great, but also Scattle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KR1SvoPhCVg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYLxlIF7Wn0 It's so 80s. Hotline Miami is like a mini top-down Vice City

What a weird location of a second monitor. First of all, it's on the right side of the primary monitor... I've always had my secondary monitor to the left. For some weird reason that's the default of Windows (and it often resets that position on my laptop at work). And "b"... that monitor is not aligned at all. How does your mouse move from screen to screen!? Lastly... not a lot of space for your mouse.

I still have 2 Ship gifts which I received by taking one of the keys, but I'm using those to test some shit out for steamfruitcake.com . I will probably release them after tomorrow when I'm done playing around with it (need to verify some regifting stuff). If somebody is offended by this move, I can give you a copy of BIT.TRIP Runner, or EDGE to get by. I'm hoping that the inventory id of these gifts carry over to the new owner. This way I could track the gifts and apply an expoential multiplier to regifting in the "true" fruitcake spirit. (I found out that there's a rather annoying performance issue, Steam has a global rate limit on profile info so you quite often get "service unavailable" during peak hours, this hampers the concept of steamfruitcake.com quite a bit.) Anyway, I hope to release a beta of the site by the end of next week.

I took the %. I'm in for the next session (because I'm still downloading). Hmm... looks like I need to adjust some code for steamfruitcake.com, these steam gifts in my inventory are different than I expected.

I'm not planning to return to extensive PHP development, so Eclipse PDT will do. Especially since I've been using Eclipse for Java development for the past 7 (or so) years. -

I'm playing Knight, Adventurer, and future girl. I'm currently on my 3rd "quest", and second character quest. I think I broke the Knight quest with the dragon. -

Progressed quite a bit on steamfruitcake.com yesterday. The steam profile scraping works, now I only need to implement the part to register a game as a fruitcacke and show the overview. After that the site design stuff needs to be made. Could use a bit of help for that to make something awesome looking. I switched to use Eclipse PDT for editing my PHP files, much better than using a normal text editor. I've become lazy with formatting my code, Ctrl+Shift+F to auto format made things to easy for me -

Yes, but it was often gratis. The Unreal Tournament bonus packs are DLC, and gratis, and only available for download. (but included in the GOTY version eventually) -
We should get a special forum for kickstarter, sheesj. Tom Hall (Commander Keen, Wolfenstein 3D, ROTT, Anachronox) and Brenda Wrathwaite (Wizardy, Jagged Alliance) opened a kickstarter to create an old school RPG (possibly 2). Yeah, I know, another old school RPG kickstarter. But it's Tom Hall, so it's going to be awesome. Anachronox is still one of my favorite game(worlds) ever made. http://www.kickstart...ite-and-tom-hal It is bit weird though, because they are part of lootdrop. And lootdrop is more or less independent, and self funded.
