Close. There was no rug on the floor.

is it just me, or is the faceless announcer really weird. He just wished space jam was real, so he could steal the powers of the gamedevs.

Zynga casts mind control. Soren Johnson resists!

How so? It was his choice, it has nothing to do with the game industry. -

What I don't understand is that somebody who worked at Firaxis and worked on Civilization could go on and go to Zynga. -

5 was boring because it took an annoying long time to recover when dropping from the colossus. -

The Hobbit ... How can this be 9 hours long!? Also... what happened to the colors, where are they.

Given the blockbuster is defined as successful entertainment, it depends on how you measure success. If you measure success by profit, then movies like Forrest Gump are not a blockbuster as it didn't make a profit (hollywood accounting). DNF had a almost 15 years of development, not a single game ever made was successful enough to be able to pay for that. But DNF did ship quite a number of copies... Eitherway, I consider DNF to be tripple-A due to the development method of the game. To me the term tripple-A in game development comes from the banking world. It's sort of a quality standard, a dubious one, but that's with all quality standers. It defines more the paperwork rather than the actual quality.

Ok, so the HDMI output channel is called "s/pdif 1", not to be confused with the "s/pdif" channel or the "s/pdif d" channels. So now I do have sound, only the center and surround left; and the subwoofer and surround right channels are swapped. But there's still one thing that crashes, or at least, that is what the system keeps telling me, but I have no idea what. The error reporting is just as wonderful as windows' error reporting. Anyway, its better than before. Now I only need to order a new 4x4cm that doesn't make an annoying high pitched noise. Not sure about the harddrive ...

Killed 5 and 6 today. Or at least, the flying thing, and the beardy guy. Am I on track again? Is it just me, or is killing these titans tedious as hell. -
Wasted pretty much the whole day by attempting to upgrade my HTPC (which also serves as router and shell box) from Ubuntu 10.04 to 12.04. For 10.04 I had to fiddle around with ALSA to get proper audio over HDMI. And now with 12.04 I have no audio at all. I thought I might have screwed up the alsa/pulse stuff with my fiddling, so I more or less trashed all alsa and pulse stuff I could find and reinstalled the bunch. But it's still not working. So I gave up and had some dinner... but then the PC crashed completely, and suddenly the harddrive wasn't recognized. After making sure the cable was properly connected (might have gone loose because I was trying to figure out what was making the high pitched noise, it was the fan but only when fan control was enabled). HD was recognized again, but needed checking and fixing. grrr... So right now it sort of works again, but still no sound. And I have the new ubuntu crap, unity and what not. I was perfectly happy with the gnome2 theme. Unity is shite, gnome 3 is less awful, but still crap. This retarded Apple like UIs where you cannot change any of the default UI crap (like animations and stuff) needs to stop. So.. the hardware appears to be a bit unstable now, and the software doesn't work completely... I shouldn't have attempted to upgrade the machine. It was working quite ok. All I wanted was a newer version of xmbc that did support DTS passthrough.

The game is not about heavy metal. It's about the bizarre worlds shown on the covers of heavy metal albums. It is weird though that there is never a band on the stage. It would have been great if the RTS part ended with the winning stage getting a concert. Not during the battle, because it's a battle of roadies.

A real shame. And the movie is probably going to suck because that's now how I play Deus Ex.

I'm planning to play it again. I finished it on my PS3, but want to reexperience it on the PC. Maybe I will enjoy the RTS part a bit more.

So... did Chris play Zuma on the xbox or not?
