  1. Fez

Yes, there's a different end when you collected all 64 cubes
  2. I Had A Random Thought...

He! That's not your thought, it's CK's thought.
  3. Fez

Just 200%ed the game. I did use a guide to decypher the alphabet, it was too much of a pain to work that stuff out and I needed it for a single puzzle. The numbers thing I needed 2 times I think. It wasn't that difficult to figure it out. Eitherway, I saw both endings  My favorite part was the rythem levels. The red sewer was the worst part.
  4. Fez

Just finished the normal game and currently working on new game+ to find all cubes. So far I've only figured out the tetris cube code. Not sure if I even need to figure out the other two codes. I dislike the few timed segments, and the black holes are also annoying. Sometimes they actually block me from going forward, so I have to re-enter the scene a couple of times. I wish there was a way to easily jump to any scene.
  5. Fez

Oh great, thanks to your drunkenness I've been playing Fez today.
  6. Fez

Something tells me I have to play Fez. or rather, someone
  7. I Had A Random Thought...

"Make it happen" would come down to me doing it :/ It's sort of my thing to lay down some architectural and development guidelines. It's not that I've had the opportunity to work out this stuff. I've just severely disappointed by the disinterest of most of colleagues in learning how to develop software. I took vacation for the next week, so maybe I can finally work out a PPT to bug people with during the next dev meeting. Then again, I might be playing video games.
  8. I Had A Random Thought...

I don't know. In my 20+ years of programming experience I've been mostly driven by my own interest to seek out new knowledge and new civilizations, to boldly go where no elmuerte has gone before. I don't have to learn from colleagues, I don't want to be challenged by colleagues per se. I simply don't want to be bugged to solve other people's issues every time.
  9. I Had A Random Thought...

Life would be so much easier if everybody (at the company I work for) is as good as me in software development... Is that arrogant?

You should go to India, it's extremely vegetarian friendly. But that's probably because about half of the people is vegetarian. German suck with beef. There's hardly any of it, it's mostly pork. Delicious pork, but still mostly pork.
  14. Games with 'power up' mechanics

    So.. Dishonored?
  15. Non-Violent Video Games

I see what you did there
  16. Non-Violent Video Games

I think Layton is violent. In the first 3 games (haven't played any others) there has been kidnapping, murder, etc. The story is quite violent. I've looked at my game collection, and games with some kind of story often contain elements of violence. The question is, where do you draw the line. Do the bullies in Machinarium make the game violent?
  17. GTA V

Oh man. Time to plan some vacation time. It's like 3 GTAs in one game They also made Max Payne 3
  18. Life

Erm. You misunderstood/I wasn't clear enough. I don't have a negative view on self-constraint, in fact, the latter part of my post is pretty much all about self-constraint. I have a negative view on forced constraints, like crash diets, or avoiding social activities (e.g. not going to a bar with your friends because you don't drink alcohol). So, constraints are good if they don't make you unhappy, or something like that. "I'm not going to eat birthday cake because I'm on a diet" is not something I see as self-control, because it's your diet that controls you. "I'll take a small piece of birthday cake, because I had a smaller lunch" is self-control. And "unhealthy attitude towards eating" is on both sides of the scale (pun intended).
  19. Life

I'd rather live shorter but happier than longer and constraint. I don't think there's a think like unhealthy food, but there is an unhealthy attitude towards eating. It's eating too much that you should take care off. It's not bad to not finish your plate, unlike what your parents told you. When you had enough, simply stop eating. Also, eat slow, not fast. It takes a while for your brain to get the signal that you ate stuff. Limiting access to food also works. Never have food within reach when you sit behind a desk or something. Buy a huge house so that you have to walk a lot to reach the kitchen, and install a food force field that will prevent you from taking too much food out of the kitchen. Of course it doesn't help that all food is tasty
  20. Recommend me some good two-player co-ops! (Please!)

Have you tried Renegade Ops like Nappi suggested. It's fun action.
  21. Movie/TV recommendations

Hurray, King of Monster's the movie. There are a few things I don't get: 1) why two people controlling 1 robot by synchronized moves? 2) why kinect like controls and not a simple fightstick? People have been practicing fighting with fightsticks for years now. 3) why those colors? 4) why not make a robot 2 times the size of those aliens?
  22. Notch makes the worlds oddest typing teacher?

My problem is with browser plugins, not unity. The problem with this embedded unity thing is that you cannot play the game without installing the browser plugin. I would rather just install the runtime and download the manifest which the runtime can open.
  23. Notch makes the worlds oddest typing teacher?

I don't like the unity browser plugin none-sense.
