I stopped playing when I first encountered the damn monkeys.

Miasmata - Ye Olde Cartography, Falling Down Hills, Drowning, Getting Eaten by a Grue Simulator

If you throw a lit twig, the monster will look that way for a couple of seconds, allowing you to hide. I know all this but I've played way less of this game than either of you. -

That's never happened to me, so it's probably rare. The monster will totally kill you though, perhaps not every time. -
Hey, just because she has sword-arms doesn't mean she isn't human

There are political and historical reasons for it, but IMO it just doesn't work for anybody in the long term.

That's excellent. I studied Swedish for six goddamn years because the law said I had to, and I even matriculated with a decent grade, but I'm hopeless at it. 6000 Swedish words here I come.

It's a good loadout, but it's also a basically a cheat code

I've got a kindle. I've got no problems with the actual e-ink display. Reading it is fine. However, the interface needs work and unfortunately reading PDFs is a chore. It would be _so useful_ to me if PDFs worked better, because I've got a ton of articles and a couple of books on PDF, but unfortunately it doesn't work well enough.

Hah. Arnold Rothstein is a major character in Boardwalk Empire. What a weird link.

You should probably use the parachute.

No.

I had that. It was my first table-top role playing game.

Why is Splinter Cell Man there? Is it cyberpunk when he's suddenly a woman? Is this a dis towards the developers of Splinter Cell? Are they calling them effeminate? I'm so confused.

The ones that end when get on the train. The sequence where you mess up and get caught is one of the worst examples of a game taking agency away from you I know. Suddenly 47 turns into a stupid amateur and tries to kill someone who isn't even the target in an obvious manner, without preparing at all? I all the Hitman games I've only used the razor wire a few times because it's preferable to make the deaths seem accidental somehow. And then then the bad guy's ploy was so stupid I couldn't figure out why the cops were after 47 and not him. Of game plots, Hitman always had the worst. It's just as bad now, but done with a whole lot more money.

Man... The scene and the missions where you have to go on the run suddenly are just... Really difficult to start playing again, and I haven't even gotten to the nun assassins.

Huh, this has co-op, but only local? -
I wouldn't post this normally, but it's a nice follow-up.

You should hire me at Telltale. I'll tear off my roots and move to the US in a heartbeat. Every two months or so I'll have one of these nice ideas for your game, it'll totally be worth paying me a full salary

Avatar would be a nice test bed for the motion blur issue, since all of it is artificial anyway. I wonder if I'm right at all, but I feel like the amount or lack of motion blur is what throws people off.

I don't know how you finished it so quickly. I've been enjoying finding my way around and doing cartography, mostly, although I have to admit I haven't played for a while since dealing with the monster isn't my favourite thing in the game. I'd love a safe version of the game. Honestly, night and terrain provide enough challenge to me. BTW, the monster does spawn near areas of interest, especially important flora.
