And yet, no dude was passionate enough or capable enough to try.

Among other things, they've hired a full-time producer for this year. There are going to be at least another 11 videos -- hours of content that needs to be researched. Any accusation that the relatively modest amount of money this project is ludicrous. Ask the Thumbs how quickly that money disappears.
  3. Torment: Tides of Numenera

I listened to the 3MA interview and Wildman just sounded weird, and not in any way that was interesting. After listening to the guy talk for an hour, he seems like a nice guy and his heart's certainly in it, but I never understood why I should have wanted to play that game.
  4. SimCity: The City Simulator

Ahahaha, excellent. In reference to Steam sale thing.

I see the spoiler button, then click on it. Why? Anyway, I'll finish it of course, but it bothers me that apart from his wife, Underwood is the only one at all clever and in control of himself... and not always that.
  6. SimCity: The City Simulator

Gooddammiiit. I seriously shouldn't spend money on this. But daaamn.

So I'm watching the tenth episode of House of Cards. Did anyone watch this? It began with a lot of promise of Machiavellian scheming, which I love, and is very well directed, but I'm losing interest. The show seems to consist of Kevin Spacey's character hatching clever schemes that only work through luck or the incredible stupidity of his opponents. Mediocrities clumsily scheming against each other is not much of a show.

I think I found my investment bank.

  10. Teleglitch

I like that this runs excellently on my old shitty netbook.

I wanted to like Tree of Life-- I've seen most of Malick's films and really liked every one. This one pushed me away. With dinosaurs.
  12. Movie/TV recommendations

I couldn't watch that movie with a straight face. It's like some producer decided it wouldn't sell and decided to add dinosaurs.
  13. PL4YST4TION 4

If the BBC article was accurate, this offers nothing to me. They didn't even fix the pad.
  14. Civilization V

I love the removal of stacked units, but apparently it has its problems. It guides you too much... There are a few ways to win the game, now you choose one and just stick to it. The worst problem for me is that mods don't work for multiplayer.
  15. SimCity: The City Simulator

In our town, such buildings have tended to mysteriously catch fire. Must have been the insulation they used in uildings of that era.
  16. Planetside 2

I was going to, but couldn't
  17. Planetside 2

Can't wait to simulate some murder later.
  18. God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater - Kurt Vonnegut

Bluebeard is excellent. Earlier when I read this thread, I have to look up which novel was that good one with the painter, and blam, Bluebeard.
  19. Planetside 2

    No game scheduled for tonight?
  20. God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater - Kurt Vonnegut

Read Deadeye Dick. I can't remember how strong it is on the whole, but I thought the premise was fascinating.
  21. Planetside 2

That shit is how it should have been from the start.
  22. Short Fiction Read Aloud
