Wait.. We weren't talking about wrestling?
-
Nope. It's actually quite hard to achieve that even if it would seem otherwise. I haven't even managed to make a mess with the inverted Aeropress method.

I have one (actually two) of those. It's nice. I recently bought an expensive espresso machine because it was rather cheap. Still experimenting with the grind, tamping, etc.

I wouldn't count on this. EA has shown it is capable of putting a lot of pressure on other companies, even the likes of Google, when something needs to be swept under the rug. For example, practically all evidence of the highly controversial alternative ending of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 seems to have been erased already.

I hope they just add a scene where Shepherd wakes up pouring with sweat and only after a moment realizes that it has all been a bad dream. Note: I have actually not finished Mass Effect 3 yet, so this may well be the current ending.

Thirty Flights Of Loving teaser is now on Gametrailers. It would be interesting to know if more people will throw their money at Idle Thumbs because of this. At least one has, it seems.

It think the question we should be asking is this: Has the game been released on iOS before? Once we know the answer to that question, perhaps then can we begin to decipher the meaning of Rodi's statement.

This is excellent news! Now you can put the Kickstarter money to good use, too. I have heard from a friend that maintaining an infants' blood swimming pool can be quite costly.

I'm a couple of hours into this, so I feel obliged to my post random incoherent thoughts about the game here: Importing my character went fine. I was afraid that I would have to install ME2, but luckily that wasn't the case. Apparently, I had swapped girlfriends at least once, because different save files said I had sexed a different gal. I like the idea of being able to choose my memories. The combat feels very tight. I can throw fireballs constantly, due to the decreased cooldown. The sound design is weird. They have, perhaps appropriately, made dubstep the face noise of evil. That dream sequence. Jesus. Deus Ex: Human Revolution: "It's not the end of the world. But you can see it from here." Mass Effect: "If this ain't the end of days, it's pretty damn close." The last point bothered me more it should have.

How does that actually work? Pretty much all of the quest I played required me to traverse a dungeon or equivalent filled with enemies that are hard to ignore. Plus, some of the baddies have items that you need to be able to continue (though I suppose, you could pickpocket them or something). Anyway, that doesn't sound a very enjoyable way to play Skyrim to me, but I'm interested to hear how it turns out.

After 87 hours of play, I think I'm done with Skyrim, at least for a while. I beat the main quest as well as the Bards College and College of Winterhold questlines. I even crafted the dragonplate armor which I found to be weaker than the Daedric one. Short review: good game.

This must be the most beautiful overkill I have ever seen.

Has anyone of you received Mass Effect 3 related emails from game stores that you have registered to but whose newsletter you have never subscribed to? I have received at least three of those in the last couple of weeks. It seems quite weird, as I can't remember this happening with any other game. I wonder exactly how much money EA is spending on making me less interested in buying this game.

I bet you get some awesome stuff if you order yours soon.

I guess he meant that it is SimCity and not SimCity V.

Seeing how fucked up the road network in all my Tropico 3 islands was, the curvy road announcement worries me a great deal. I have faith in Maxis, though, and believe that they can implement it less horribly than Kalypso.

RIP Nick.

IDLE THUMBS: A Retrospective In Triple A

Agreed. Assassin's Creed is actually surprisingly clumsy and ineffective as a stealth game. Nope. You are not making much sense. Keeping a ridiculous distance to enemies just because there is no other way to make sure that they don't see you, breaks the pacing much more than a simple cover system would. And hiding behind a cover would certainly be smoother than finding a stack of hay, a well or some prostitutes whenever you want to hide. There are "traditional" stealth sections in Assassin's Creed 2 games and some of them are simply broken. God I hope Ubisoft won't fill the woods in Assassin's Creed 3 with artificial stacks of leaves and groups of people just because they can't implement a simple, smooth cover system.

Well.. Ezio, Desmond, that new guy could have a common ancestor in Altair (or some master assassin that came before) even if the new guy is not a descendant of Ezio. I'm not that into the Assassin's Creed side of Assassin's Creed so I don't know how the bloodline thing has been described. To be honest, I don't really care either, because the overarching story feels so utterly ridiculous to me.

The recent mystery of multiple Nicks in combination with extreme tiredness and the fact that it is friday (friday friday), has lead to a situation in which I cannot get autotuned "♫ Which Nick should be fucked?" out of my head.

I would actually have preferred my cast with 5-10% less Jake relative to other casters.

Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe had a pet moose which, unfortunately, got drunk at a party, fell down a flight of stairs and died. Also relevant.

F. Nick Breckon should be on Hypersonic effects channel.
