Psychonauts was definitely talked as being an Xbox exclusive at some point before its release, and the PC version was announced only later (but still before the release date, I think). Regarding buying the PC version at launch, was it just the European version then that was delayed for who knows how long? It was the PC, EU or EU PC version but I can't remember which.

And I with A Wild Sheep Chase. Weird.

Well, every game will be super cheap at some point. If you want to play it within the next six months or so, you should probably buy it now. Otherwise, buy it later or not at all.

Haha... what ? Good to know. Even more interested in the documentary now.

I have been meaning to read Dune for the longest time but have never gotten around to it for some reason*. I was going to tackle either Stanislaw Lem's The Invincible or His Master's Voice once I'm done with George Smiley, but Dune might get prioritized in my science fiction queue now. I know barely nothing about Dune — except that it has dunes, worms, and spice — which is quite exciting. How much does Jodorowsky's Dune documentary spoil the novel's plot? I have been looking forward to watching it for some time now, and I don't know if I want to wait until I am done with the book. * Actually, I know the reason. It is because I have been hoping to find an edition with really elegant — or alternatively, incredibly tacky — cover. The editions that are most readily available have really dull art, in my opinion. I am the worst.

The gameplay is fun.

You save 5 % off The Witcher 3 if you own The Witcher 2, so if you are planning to buy The Witcher 3 then The Witcher 2 is more or less free right now.

Eeeew..

You wouldn't get it, though.

Yey, Danielle episode! There might be video game talk in this one!

Farewell, My Lovely and The Long Goodbye are the most praised I think. Apart from those three I have only read The High Window and it was quite good too. I would imagine that all the Marlowe novels are at least decent.

Looks brilliant! I can't remember the last time a trailer alone got me so excited about a movie.

This game continues to look gorgeous: Edit: Seems like this has not been posted here yet either.

Yeah, that documentary is insane. Well worth watching.

Awesome work! I can't remember if someone already illustrated the Sean vs. Bobby Kotick parachute moment of but it seems suitably graphic and bizarre for this type of treatment.

I bet he has a drone companion.

But where is his iconic cap?!

Best thread ever.

Holy shit! Didn't see this coming at all. I hope all the DLC is included.

Ooh.. this could be good! I'm interested to see how they will deal with the batmobile, i.e. will it be always available or limited to certain segments. I stopped playing Arkham Origins after the incredibly tedious Bane battle. I hope Rocksteady can make the boss battles interesting again.

The fake Nepal looks pretty gorgeous! If the story and gameplay are bearable, I may eventually buy this game just to enjoy the scenery and turn all the endangered species into wallets.

Exciting things so far for me: The Witcher 3 (was already excited), Assassin's Creed, GTA V PC, Grim Fandango, and No Man's Sky color palette.

Obligatory Comical YouTube Thread II: The Fall of YouTube
Nappi replied to pabosher's topic in Idle Banter
For a while, I was afraid that this was the clip I once saw in one of those late night "funny" home videos shows where - just before the finish line - a female runner's shinbone simply shattered. She fell, naturally, but endorphin and adrenaline and a range of other chemicals had taken hostage of her brain and she tried to get up again and again. It was the second most shocking thing I have ever seen in an entertainment show. This video was quite horrible as well, at first, but also somewhat funny. At least they brought it onto themselves, to some extent at least, and there was hopefully no permanent damage.
