Works quite nicely as a hunting trophy. Were there more major glitches in the stream?

Twin Peaks Rewatch 30: Beyond Life and Death
Nappi replied to Jake's topic in Twin Peaks Rewatch Episodes
The beginning of the episode, namely the twelve rainbow trout / a circle of twelve sycamore trees connection, felt so rushed that it made me chuckle. First of all, there are only eleven trees in the cave painting. Second of all, god damned Truman, you really didn't make a connection with the map and the wildly unnatural circle of sycamores before? Also, did Cooper actually need the scorched engine oil for anything, or was he just confirming his suspicion and shocking poor Ronette in the process? The Bobby and Shelly scene felt weird to me at first, especially because I didn't remember Heidi at all from the earlier episodes. Turns out that she was in the first episode and moreover that the conversation between the three is identical to the one in the pilot! Is this a reference to a cyclical nature of bob-based evil or something? The Black Lodge stuff and especially the doppelganger Laura were very well done in my opinion. I'm not a fan of Cooper being possessed by Bob, but I found the ending incredibly chilling as well. I have never seen Fire Walk With Me. I'm really looking forward to it! -
At least on a touch screen Kindle, the endnotes worked fine. Touching the reference brings you to the endnote and there is link at the end of endnote that brings you back to the main text. It is not the most seamless experience there is but - I'm guessing - neither is jumping between two locations in a physical copy.

He looks so angry because he knows that someone looking at this picture might be a bike thief. He hates bike thieves so much. -
Idle Thumbs 209: Ten Percent Success Rate

I googled J Allard's bike project and found this picture: http://bikeportland.org/2014/05/28/portland-startup-project-529-fighting-bike-theft-just-beginning-106477 Does Sean work for J Allard now? -
I found Orin quite repulsive, but did not hate him to a degree that you did. Mostly, I just didn't get him or care for him at all. I can certainly see how having had to deal with broadly similar people in the past would amplify the grossness of that character a great deal.

Abbey Road Crossing Cam

That sounds about right. It feels more like a short story collection where the individual stories are connected by a unified setting. Some of the small sub-arcs are absolutely beautiful, but it is still incredibly sad that we never got to see the novel finalized.

Yup, that line blew me away (ign.com). This was what I was referring to when I said during one of your streams that there is something in the first chapter that you have almost surely missed. As you have probably figured out already, pretty much everything by David Foster Wallace is worth checking out. I'd start (continue) with the collections of essays Consider the Lobster or A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again. His final novel The Pale King is full of beautiful writing and characters and the setting is fascinating in that it so absolutely boring (the IRS). Unfortunately, he never finished the novel and the story is in bits and pieces. Still well worth reading in my opinion.

Oh wow, I had completely missed this. Really nice interpretation that must seem pretty bizarre to anyone who has not read the book.

I loved both Twin Peaks and Mulholland Drive, but Inland Empire was one of the most uncomfortable and distancing movies I have ever experienced. After half an hour or so I was not only aware that I was watching a movie but painfully aware that I was watching a screen on which a movie was playing. I couldn't get into it at all during the entire 3 hour runtime of the movie.

David Lynch's Josh Brolin's Campo Santo's Fire Watch With Me: A Motion Picture Event

Turns out it is practically impossible to find frames for inch size posters in Finland. Anyway, here they are. Firewatch better be good or will have to tear them all down. (Not really.) -
Twin Peaks Rewatch 27: Variations on Relations
Nappi replied to Jake's topic in Twin Peaks Rewatch Episodes
I hope that one day they will release a limited edition Bluray with alternative cover art consisting of a portrait of the Heavy Metal Youth and a police photo of his corpse. I think he deserves it. Also, Donna's mum really likes those peas. -
Twin Peaks Rewatch 26: On The Wings Of Love
Nappi replied to Jake's topic in Twin Peaks Rewatch Episodes
Great podcast episode as always! I enjoyed the actual episode quite a bit more than anything in the past few weeks. The half-assed police investigation of the cave was really strange, but (unfortunately) I have come to accept this sort of sloppy stuff at this point of the show. Really looking forward to the final episode discussion and to seeing Fire Walk with Me for the first time. That is bizarre! I have never heard anyone being less interested in a show because it is set in a small town. And in any case, I find it hard to believe that anyone would be fooled by the sign saying that the population is significantly larger than it appears to be. I like how the web player shows the episode length as 0:42:60. Precise stuff. -
I'm looking forward to seeing what the hell this thing is. Looks great already!
