The demo was pretty nice. Really liked the ruined dream city of the 60s with all its small, yet important, details. I really disliked the enemies, though. And since the full version is probably all about killing those, I think I'll pass. The suspicious syringe scene made me smile, but the absolute best part of the demo for me came shortly after that when the little sister called the big daddy "Mr Bubbles". Awesome.

I blame the Norwegians.

Double Fine updated their website. Minigames and projects are "coming soon". What I find interesting is this thing in their About page: I was under the impression that Tim Schafer is not so keen on making sequels.

I actually just don't want to read any of those articles. I have chosen not to read them. In my opinion the story is getting ridiculous amount of coverage, and is beginning to seriously annoy me. I don't mean that it isn't horrible and sad, it is very horrible and sad, but this kind of news overdose simply makes me numb. I wasn't trying to solve the case by any means just offering a tongue-somewhere-between-the-teeth-and-cheek what-if view on the story. I know it must be highly unlikely, but some selected headlines made it all seem pretty suspicious. Then again I have probably watched too many crappy tv-shows. I think I heard somewhere that the body must have been in the room for more than an hour. If I remember it correctly it had something to do with the dogs not being able to find traces if the body had been there for a shorter time. And something about the parents checking on the kid every half an hour. I'm not 100% sure on this one, so it might be that it went nothing like this. Oh and what I meant by that sentence was that I don't know whether the ones investigating the case have already vertified that the parents couldn't have killed the little girl. My English can be pretty poor at times, but I'm working on it.

So how long till the police realize that the parents (perhaps accidentally) killed Madeleine and are just covering it and getting sympathy and publicity with the story about kidnapping? I haven't actually read any of the stories so I don't know if this has been completely ruled out as an impossibility. I just see the headlines almost daily: Press events that are obviously not helping in finding the girl, blood in the room of a hotel in which they were staying (was it their room btw?), something about the girl laying on the floor for more than an hour and parents claiming it couldn't have happened, parents strongly believing that the kid was kidnapped and not killed regardless of the current evidence... Slightly offtopic, I'm afraid. But well...hmm.. pedophiles are most uncool.

I have often been aware that I'm in a dream but haven't been able to control it except for waking up when I want to. Did you know that having a lying live commentator in a dream feels kinda creepy?

Just bought myself a macbook pro. The only thing that annoys me right now is that I have to learn all the hotkeys (for commands and special characters) again. For example, when adding contacts to the address book I pressed the wrong hotkey every fucking time I tried to type @. This caused the program to quit the edit mode and only show the card. Quicksilver on the other hand is pure genious! Couldn't live without it (now that I know it exists).

In my opinion, the song just fit the trailer so well. The part where the tune gets mixed with the wind and noises of the post-apocalyptic street-life hit me like bus full of priests. My only complaint about the teaser is that it should have ended a bit sooner.

The big Wii titles: Super Smash Bros Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Super Paper Mario (European release ). I'm getting increasingly interested in Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition as well, even though I'm usually not at all interested in horror games. On the PC front, I'm really excited about Team Fortress 2. The graphic style alone makes me drool. I'm also somewhat interested in seeing how Fallout 3 will turn out, even though I haven't played any of previous games in the series (which might be a good thing because I can't really be mad at the major changes) and I have a bad feeling about this one. "I Don't Want to Set the World On Fire" is probably clouding my judgment quite a bit. I'm sure there are other games I'm waiting for but am unaware of it.

This episode rocked big time! I don't remember when was the last time a dialog has made me laugh this hard. Probably never. I hope that this is direction Telltale Games will take the future episodes. Not that there was anything wrong with the first three episodes but.. well.. Abe Lincoln Must Die was just clearly superior. Makes me drool for Season 2 already.

Super Paper Mario totally looks awesome. Does anyone know when it will be released in Europe? Should be out in US and Japan in April. Btw. I've been thinking of buying Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and I would like to know how does Wavebird feel in ones hand? It looks a bit bulky but I'd really prefer a wireless controller.
