That is the most hypnotic picture I have ever seen! I would definitely buy one of those, if I wasn't allergic. Hi.

I was under the impression that network neutrality and tiered Internet supporters usually aren't seen around the same fondue pot. This discussion made me very confused, however.

I was a bit surprised to see how seriously they took the fake announcement. Obviously they don't want people to get false information, but still.. Glad to see that even the folk at Double Fine have a sense of humor. One of the most rewarding minigames I have ever played.

Tried the demo and it felt like every other Medal of Honor demo I have tried so far. For some reason I have always felt that shooting in MoH games is pretty awkward. Quite often, no matter how well I aim, I just can't hit the target and I'm left with a feeling that either the gun's sight is messed up or the game cheats. I don't know how well they have used parachuting in other levels but in the demo map it felt completely useless. Didn't make playing less linear in any way. I really liked the running, though. (How it was executed, not running around.)

Probably has to do with the fact that Tim will employ the ones with most hilarious random comments.

I'll just go a head and show my ignorance on this topic as well: what makes the arcade Donkey Kong such a hard game?

Excited for sure! I just wish they hadn't used Lincoln and the other president in the trailer. Makes me feel that there's going to be a lot of recycling even if that wasn't the case at all. I'm eager to see what they have done with Flint Paper, though! And not sure what to think of the Pimp My DeSoto part. I actually replayed Sam & Max: Hit the Road today. I feel that in the process of making Max even wackier for Season 1 they also made him dummer in a way. In my opinion, he actually made some witty comments on the current events or discussions Sam and other characters were having, something that you didn't see that much on Season 1. I don't really have any good examples listed for you, though. This is just what I ended up with, when I started thinking why Max felt so different in these two games. Don't get me wrong, I love Max's love for tough love and random violence. I just hope Telltale Games isn't going to exaggerate it any further in Season 2, potentionally turning him into one of those persons in children's stories and whatnots who only has one characteristic. (This isn't actually as big an issue for me as the amount of text makes it look like.) (And where's the other ":" from getmecoat?)

Whoa. I have only played Link to the Past and Twilight Princess. I think Tingle would stick out in those games like something that sticks out big time. Does Tingle fit better in the Zelda games it has appeared in? Or is he just weird?
-
I saw the game earlier today. That has got to be the gayest game name I have ever seen. Not sure if it was the intention too. Who is this Tingle guy anyway? Besides being a Zelda character, of course.

I was about to ask this. Lighting a cigarette with your fingertips or pouring a drink using telekinesis makes sense, at least in a very bizarre level, but what's the excuse for the bee plasmid? Honey? And how do you advertise that thing?

Quiet day indeed. Suspiciously quiet I might say. I actually replayed Bioshock demo to see if it would make me want to buy the full game this time. Unfortunately, it didn't. Spent the rest of the day fiddling with Inkscape (I recently realized that I'm all about vector graphics).

If the movie is actually about knights riding ostriches, I'm sold. I just hope they don't turn it into a comedy.
-
Thanks. Sounds much better than I initially thought.

What makes Metroid games (the first person ones) so awesome? I'm not trying to be provocative here, I really want to know. Because most videos I have seen make it look like a somewhat basic sci-fi fps with pretty boring setting. The enemies even turn red when you shoot them. Not sure why that's worth mentioning, though. Judging by the reviews (the metacritic score of the latest one is 91 right now) there's a lot more than that. How are the adventure parts for example? Are they just "This door is locked. You need a key to open it." kind of things or actually exciting? What am I missing here? I have been waiting for something good to play on my Wii and I'm considering buying this game.
-
.... At least they don't have to worry about advertising the game that much anymore.

Yeah.. he doesn't look like agent 47. He looks like an IT guy whose colleagues think that he looks a bit like agent 47 now that he decided to go bald. I think Jason Statham could have been a lot more convincing hitman. Not sure if he had been the best choice either, though.

"a spectacular super-heroic action platform game with tactical elements" Wow...

Yes, I have only played some bits of past Metal Gear games and watched others play some more. However, I really liked the character design on the bosses I have seen (the invisible ninja on killing spree, for example). And Psycho Mantis is one sexy beast. (Probably because I didn't have to fight them.) I have to admit that because I haven't played the previous games so much I don't know whether they included something that tops the flying half Spiderman nemesis half ancient Medusa thingy that screams "Rage! Rage!" all the time.

Damn. For a while I thought we'd be seeing caber tossing and upkilts.

Outcast seems to be one buggy game. Too bad. I was about to buy it a while back.
-
Yes. The one with statue grabbing and magazine reading.

I was really impressed by the gameplay demo that was released a while ago. This, however, is just awful.

The second one sounds a bit lame for Tim Schafer, in my opinion. Now, this is more like it:

I thought companies were ditching copy protection because they realized that they are mostly just harming those who have paid for the products. Oh well.. What if you downloaded it via Steam?
