Ehh... Maybe they simply like the Star Wars fans more than the fans of the previous games ?

Ron Gilbert is making Monkey Island 3!!!! or maybe just counting down to something
Nappi replied to ThunderPeel2001's topic in Video Gaming
Yeah, the fact that there are a lot of (what might be considered) adventure elements in practically every RPG game makes me wonder what exactly is it that makes this an RPG-Adventure game (with Monkey Island style adventure elements, to be more specific). Is it just going to be Diablo style gameplay with more puzzles, a traditional adventure game storyline and mechanics with more fighting and level ups, something in between or something completely different? -

I am somewhat confused and want know more about this fusion of Monkey Island style adventure and Diablo style RPG. I also wonder which is going to have more emphasis in the game. This image reminds me a bit of Castle Crashers (and O'Chunks from Super Paper Mario) and I kinda hope the graphic style will be similar to that. The character himself doesn't seem very interesting (at least compared the classic adventure game characters, which is unfair to begin with), but it's really way too early to say anything. The name is excellent, though. -

I think we should focus on toblix's thread. It is already the 7th result in google search for "ds questions".

I think Dan meant the link he posted on the first page of that topic. Seems to work still.

Yes there was, but it probably doesn't count because Ron Gilbert wasn't involved, or something like that. Second number has been revealed! What next? It could be anything.. -
What I meant was that the "release" dates probably only tell you when the "products" were added to the "portfolio" and not when they were actually supposed to be released.

Burnout games are my favourite racing games I have never played*. For some reason, however, I'm not at all interested in this latest game. Probably due to all that penis enlargement stuff.. *no PC version

Seeing that the Optimus Tactus has a release date of 1.1.2008 even though it's just a concept, that could be a simple case of translation error.

I haven't seen anyone at Double Fine commenting on the possible PC version at all, apart from DF forum administrator Info Cow who, back in October, said:

Jackson to direct Hobbit movie. Also sequal. Wait, what?

I recall him being middle aged. In any case, I agree with brkl, Ian Holm looks way too old for the role. -
I thought the first keyboards shipped in December. I like it how ridiculously expensive that thing is. Using just one big touch screen as a keyboard (like in this concept) would probably have been a lot cheaper, seeing that they are getting more and more popular these days. That would be pretty shitty when typing of course, but it would at least look cool. I like this thing, though.

What kind of casing does it have then? I thought it was just a standard(ish) dvd case.

Yes, in Japan and US. But not in Europe...

I don't mind the easiness at all either. Actually, I probably wouldn't be able to play the game with my sister if it was a couple of notches harder, as the last time she has played anything was (if you don't count Twilight Princess) on the Snes era and she is, understandably, a bit confused about the 3D-ness and more complicated control scheme. And I enjoy the game immensely as well. When I choose to play Galaxy, I'm not looking for challenge but plain entertainment. Granted, for some the game has to be challenging in order to be entertaining, but not necessarily for me. In fact, I have noticed that I nearly always like the early missions the best when playing, say, strategy games. It's not that I get frustrated or my ass kicked in the later missions. It just feels a lot more rewarding to see everything going as planned and with minimal casualties because of your magnificent strategic eye, than to look at your defenses go tumbling down no matter what you do with the count down timer being your only hope and salvation. It might be that I enjoy having the upper hand, but that's only if I have earned it by careful planning or whatever. But back to the topic. I love Super Mario Galaxy! But I don't dare to continue playing it before my sister gets back from India...

Damn, that sucks. But I guess otherwise all the cheaters would lie about their account being hijacked every time they get caught.. Or something. Unfortunately it seems that you can't give the games you already own as gifts, so you can't just make a new account and transfer the games there either. Just learned that I should probably use Steam a bit more often. Not because of this but because it's been updating Company of Heroes for 7-8 hours now and I would have really liked to play the game yesterday.

The only stressful thing about Christmas for me is buying the presents. I usually do that for my family only, though, and they aren't very picky so it isn't that bad. Apart from that, Christmas is very peaceful time of year, as I don't have to worry about university stuff for a while and I can just play, read and watch tv.

That's pretty much the most awesome Wii trick I have ever seen.

So you are in a position to determine whether an argument is pointless or not? Should we start to systematically erase the discussions you consider pointless?

New Duke Nukem Forever screenshot and trailer....huh?
Nappi replied to Spaff's topic in Video Gaming
I thought the audio was actually pretty grainy (or something like that). Might have been my poor sound card and speakers though.
