The Zone Mode is definitely the best part of the game for me, mostly because it is audiovisually so well done. I can't remember any other (fairly recent) game that has had as big an effect on me on the first try as the Zone Mode in Wipeout HD. The speed class transitions are especially neat. Constantly bumping into walls on higher speeds somewhat breaks the flow, however. But then again, that's entirely my fault.

I actually tried to keep the pieces together for a while even though I knew they were different stories. For example: Of course this doesn't work at all because, well, it's not meant to. Nevertheless, I would have preferred one consistent story so much that I tried to create one. The concept is interesting and well executed, but I too would have liked to discover the one story between the man and Clare piece by piece and possibly make things right again. Something like that anyway.

Those trailers made a lot more interested in this game as well. I hope we'll actually get to see some gameplay (or the actual game) soon. Has there even been rumors on when this is going to be released?

Good! Some of the videos I saw just made it look pretty easy. They were probably from some of the earlier levels, though. I usually don't mind if I a game isn't very challenging. In fact, I can get frustrated pretty easily if get stuck for a long time in certain types of games. This genre is an exception though. I didn't mind repeating some of the later levels of Noiz2sa 5 or 6 times in a row for example just to beat the game. It's almost as if it somehow didn't bother me to know I suck.

Now that I have decided that Everyday Shooter is in fact not the game where you just drop bombs and try to get as big a chain reaction as possible (was that Every Extend?), the game actually seems pretty awesome. Especially the music aspect although I don't quite know how it works. How hard is the game btw? Can you finish it in one go or will the later levels actually be challenging?

Best way to save ammo is to find a good cover and carefully aim for the head. The bad guys usually stay in one place for some time so you don't have to panic. When you are low on ammo, just run towards the closest dead bad guys to collect some more, find a new cover, and stay down until you are healed. You will probably still die a lot every now and then, though, and there are moments when it's hard to find a good cover or the bad guys come from all the directions but you can usually handle these by aiming for the enemy closest to you and reassessing the situation after that. In my opinion the beginning of the game wasn't much easier compared to the rest of the game, so if you find the beginning hard, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will become impossible later on. Also, I had to lower the sensitivity quite a bit in order to get proper shots.

This is actually the first podcast I have ever listened to. (Probably because the idea of me sitting alone somewhere, listening to someone else sitting alone elsewhere talking to himself felt pretty sad and bizarre at the same time.) Anyway, I liked this a lot! You have managed to keep it fun yet informative at the same time. I especially liked the tree-planting reference in Fable discussion. That was the first thing I read about the game and I've been twisting the example whenever someone mentions pretty much anything about Fable 2. Subscribed.

Who said that btw? Edit: Found the email. I'm not very surprised that they asked Sony to remove the song, honestly. I wonder if there had even been this "controversy", if Sony hadn't panicked and decided to delay the game in the first place. (Even the one who sent the email suggested disabling the song via online update.) Now some of the people who have been waiting for the game are incredibly angry at those-fucking-muslims-who-haven't-done-anything-yet-but-will-surely-be-burning-sackboy's-and-doing-other-wacky-stuff-they-usually-do-just-because-you-know, and now that the delay is in headlines some of the muslims probably will start thinking they should actually give a crap. But yeah, whatever.

Pretty interesting choice for a soundtrack to song begin with. Doesn't sound too bad though. Btw, are the songs connected to different themes and environments (like.. eh.. sand) or are they played at random? Also: Every soul shall have the taste of death.

I had the impression that it is pretty clear they are not going to be releasing it. Can't find a quote to confirm it though and I might be completely wrong as well.
