The one that was released today is set in Alaska in the year 2076. If I remember correctly, one of the later ones was supposed to extend the storyline of the original game, though.

I'm not sure if that was a Bethesda complaint or not but (Fallout series spoiler)

They mines are active once you throw them. Unless you are dropping them like other items in the inventory of course. They just don't activate when you step on top of them.

This seems to be the case. And I think the wasteland creatures only start respawning after reaching a certain level. Or maybe it was the random encounters.

The compass will probably point you there as well if you activate the quest and there should be a marker on the minimap.

The entrance of the hatchery is on the other end of Marigold Station. Look at the local map for areas you might have not visited yet.

You could keep on helping Moira with the Wasteland Survival Guide. I guess you had only done the Super Duper Mart part? And of those two, you should definitely do Blood Ties first. Those fire ants are tough buggers. The game can be pretty hard at first. Finding ammo was a problem for me in the very beginning and the reason why I started stealing stuff even though I was aiming for as much of positive karma as possible. Things soon became easier when I started peeking into every closet, box, desk and drawer. The Scrounger perk you can choose when you reach level 8 helps a lot as well. You should also note that even though there are situations where you are bound to use more skimpaks and/or ammo than you are able to get back, you will also stumble across places with plenty of both and minimal resistance. Fallout 3 has a lot of elements I usually dislike in games like creatures that run towards me trying to eat my face, depressing setting, dark tunnels and so on. That's why, when I bought the game, I was already expecting that I would just freak out and never touch the game again after a while of playing. I'm at level 15 now (having barely touched the main quest) and I keep coming back simply because the world is so intriguing. I'm really impressed with what Bethesda has done.

Italian Spiderman is quality work. I would have posted it if I had remembered. I offer you instead.Took ages to find btw.

IGN seems to have pretty thorough walkthrough of the levels. I don't know if it has all the prize bubbles listed though.

If I remember correctly, I wasn't forced to install Live with the boxed version of Fallout 3. However, the latest patch pretty much just told me that it would be installing it now for the future DLC content. I was prepared for things getting really messy but, to my surprise, I didn't have to register an account or indeed even have it running in order to play. So at least they didn't make it a pain for those of us who just want to play the game. Might be a different story with other Games for Windows games though.

I thought she was supposed to get naked. (There was a headline "Lara Croft will reveal everything in the next game", without a question mark or anything, on a rubbish website of a Finnish tv channel. I don't think they usually report anything gaming related but.. you know.. tits.)

Video-games you originally hated, but ended up loving

Closest thing that comes to my mind is Beyond Good & Evil. Not really the same thing, but when I played the demo on its release, I wasn't impressed at all and having not read anything about the game before thought it would be just another generic action adventure thingy with vehicles. I quit playing after about five minutes (when the demo crashed, if I remember correctly). Then a year or two later when I finally realized that I should probably be playing this I decided to buy it. I'm really glad I did too since I enjoyed the game a lot. Never finished it, though.. -

I briefly tested the demo (or alpha, beta, whatever) some time ago and wasn't very impressed. The controls felt somewhat awkward and I was mostly stuck at random places. The art style was kind of neat though and things have probably been improved by now.

I like it. What is it supposed to represent? Edit: Ahh.. 2012. How lame.

I still go back to Dice Wars when I'm incredibly bored. Aether is quite nice as well.

Seems that you can use either tilting or the touch screen.

Zone mode was the easiest one for me at least on the initial difficulty setting. Still, never got further than zen. The trophies are encouraging though: Bronze: Get 20 consecutive perfect zones in a single Zone Mode event. Silver: Reach Zone 50 (Subsonic) in Zone Mode on any track using only airbrakes and sideshift. Motion sensor controls must be turned off. Gold: In Zone Mode, reach Zone 75 on any track.

I think I got it. I bought an AV receiver as well as four decent speakers and after hooking them up tested them with this game. Holy shit did it blew me away (ign.com)! The whole game felt entirely different. Much more intense. I'm also glad they added the difficulty setting, although I got quite far before that as well. After a while of playing I started to suspect that everything would be awesome now that I have decent surround sound, so I rented Indiana Jones 4. It was not.

I think the other guy realized he might loose his job because of that awesome song. Great advertisement! I especially like how they covered that macbook pro with stickers as a statement.

That is beyond awesome!

Some of the objects that weren't discussed in the initial chunk of tutorials (for example, different kinds of levers) have tutorials also. To access them, just go to the tools menu and select one of those marked with a question mark.

After taking the photo, go to the stickers menu, locate the photo there, press square and select 'copy to HDD' or something similar. Not sure why the image is this small though: I started fiddling with the editor today and managed to create a space shuttle that can be controlled and usually lands correctly. I'm sure most users have done this as well. The editor is very impressive and surprisingly flexible. By the way, is there a list of all the levers, buttons, etc. that can be obtained? Or do you get all of those just by passing the tutorial levels? Also, is there a way to "invert" signals? Like make one thing turn on and another thing turn of when you pull a lever and the other way around when you push it.

The glide ratio (is that the correct term?) they manage to get with those suits is surprisingly good. Amazing clip!
