  1. Starcraft 2

I think Gigol is describing the mission after the one you are in right now, one where you have to make some transmissions. That one is a complete walk in a park on normal, much easier than the one I think you are in now. Also:
  2. Starcraft 2

It seems to me that it is. I always forget to do that myself and end up having to wait for a long time to build an army. I think Tychus will only have real troubles with the air units so you should build a bunch of the new ships you got at the beginning of the mission. I also had a small army that I sent to follow him, but I let him take most of the beating. If I remember correctly the enemies mostly attacked your base in between Tychus attacks so you could maybe run your army back and forth between your base and the action.
  3. Yes. I occasionally play point and click strategy games.. :fart:
  4. Portal 2

Co-op trailer. Those look damn awesome.
  5. How did you even get in? Wasn't there supposed to be a lot of random questions about old Lucasarts' adventure games during registration to make sure you are not a spam bot or otherwise wouldn't fit here. I only played it recently, but Fate of Atlantis seemed a bit more straightforward and "user friendly" than many of the other Lucasarts' adventure games. Except for the final part which was complete shit.
  6. Eric Chahi's Project Dust

From Dust Origins. The concept seems really interesting. I'm not yet sure what is game in this game, but I'm not too worried about that to be honest. I'm more worried that this game will completely obliterate my graphics card.
  7. Milo

I appreciate how creepy they made the whole setup. I bet that after one of his darker adventures Milo's body will be found at the bottom of the lake, pockets full of stones, head full of goatse and memes, the parents blaming themselves for not paying any attention to their kid's imaginary friend and the cloud that taught him everything he knew.
  8. Mafia II

But the first one was subtitled The City of Lost Heaven.
  9. Life

Probably not the same cloud but perhaps the same storm. Sonisphere was held in Pori which is about 200 km north-west of Helsinki where that video was taken. I watched that cloud come from the south and devour the clear sky in 2-3 minutes on my balcony, though. It was weird and majestic.
  10. Movie/TV recommendations

Agh.. Just watched 3:10 to Yuma on TV and I kinda want my 2 hours back. What a mess! The whole movie was ruined for me by the characters doing unrealistically stupid things all the time.
  11. Mafia II

Just tried the demo on PS3. The controls are decent enough and the game looked better and run more smoothly than on my laptop, so I'll probably be buying this on PS3 then. In my opinion, the car handling actually felt very good on a gamepad. Just driving around the city with the radio turned on pleases me greatly. I was worried about this as well, so I checked it. It seems that they have over 120 licensed songs in the game.
  12. BioShock Infinite

Well sure, but I got that line very early on and before I met the crazy guy. To me, the rest of the colonists acted like I would expect any colonist from Mass Effect universe to act when facing a geth attack. I might have missed some telling lines while conversing with the them, though.
  13. Life

I have been putting off choosing a minor subject* for my masters degree for something like a month now. There are so many options to choose from in electronics alone that I had to keep a list of modules I had already ruled out, and while some of them might prove to be useful in the future, most of them will almost certainly be dull as hell. Just thinking about the whole mess made my head ache. Then finally, a couple of days ago I decided to choose the one that interested me the most no matter how good or bad the employment prospects were (something that I wasn't that concerned even before to be honest) or how well it would support my major subject. The selection was actually quite a lot easier than I had made it out to be. Feels really good finally know what I will study for the next 2+ years. So micro- and nanotechnology, here I come. *Not sure what is the equivalent of major and minor subjects of Finnish universities in other countries.
  14. BioShock Infinite

I actually wish this game was, in part, about social isolation (or whatever). I think realizing that all the people around you are either brainwashed or live in utopia (...or in cloud city) and that you are the only one that's sane would make you feel more alone than if you actually were alone. This is why I really liked the man waving his arms to the music in the trailer. He seemed so far out. Incidentally there was an awesomely unsuccessful attempt at something like this in the original Mass Effect. At Zhu's Hope
  15. Deus Ex 3

Gameplay trailer. I haven't played a Deus Ex game yet, but I may just end up getting this. The city and the night club remind me of Mass Effect 2, parts of the gameplay a bit of Metal Gear Solid and color palette of why modern times suck.
  16. Rage

John Carmack is such a geek. Got to love him.
  17. Mafia II

Didn't they even release a patch that lowered the difficulty on the race? I didn't think it was that hard, although I definitely had to replay it a couple of times.
  18. BioShock Infinite

I feel the same way. I have not played Bioshock 1 or 2 apart from the demo of the first game because I fucking hate those splicer things. Shame, because the world seemed somewhat interesting. The fact that everybody was not a monster in the new trailer raised my curiosity for Bioshock Infinite () somewhat. That and the cloud city itself.
  19. BioShock Infinite

I actually thought this was a Kid Icarus thing the first time I saw the URL. I really hope Chris gets to work on a Moon game if only because he loves so many aspects of it... like astronaut footprints.
  20. Mafia II

You are thinking it wrong. It's not the controls that are bad but the cars.
  21. Mafia II

As I suspected, the game didn't run too well on my laptop; I'll have to try the demo later on PS3. It still felt like Mafia though, and I enjoyed barely being able to maneuver my car through a corner, and being ticketed for speeding, and all the other little things like these you can't experience in GTA.
  22. Costume Quest

Not terribly excited yet, but certainly keen to see where this as well as the other projects are going. Not sure whether I like the art style or not, but at least the graphics are not bad (if that makes any sense). Is there any information out on the other games in the making (such as who will be leading)? Will Schafer be more involved in one/some of them? Just realized that I still haven't played Brütal Legend.
  23. Mass Effect 2

Got the DLC thing sorted out.. eyy. Things with EA customer service went suprisingly smoothly. One thing that really started to bother me at some point of the game just came to my mind: Space Messiah Superstar Shepard. Jesus Chris, I don't know if I met anyone in the galaxy that didn't already know who I was. And most of them either wanted my help or me dead. That would still have been okay, but the fact that Legion, a geth couldn't give a satisfactory answer as to why it had done so, and thus suggested that its actions are was a bit too much for me. I hope the Normandy has enough room for the gigantic golden statue of me in Mass Effect 3.
