The narration is weird and interesting, but might get old pretty quick as already mentioned. Definitely the most interesting thing about the game for me at this point. However, I wish they had used this guy instead.

hmm.. The little gameplay I have seen doesn't look too interesting. I never really found Duke Nukem to be all that hilarious or cool either, except on a teen boy "hi hi.. tits and hookers" level. I have a feeling that it would have been more hilarious if this game was pending release forever. But whatever. I might be completely wrong and this could be turn out to be the best thing ever, or at least a lot of fun.

What a great ending to a great season of video games! Congratulations on directing Video Games! Fantastic work. I wasn't sure what to think of Sam & Max Season 3 when it was announced, but seeing as these games keep getting better and better all the time, I'm now really looking forward to the next season 4, which I'm sure Jake or Famous will soon confirm here.

Well, you know Jake.. I'm liking the episode so far. More on that later.

Is anybody a sad human like me, and have not played any LucasArts adventure games?

Thank you for spoiling Die Hard for me. -
You heard it here first.

I played 33% of the game last weekend and I'm liking it quite a bit too. The guy in the trunk mission was indeed brilliant. As someone, who really dislikes certain aspects of action packed action games such as Uncharted, I really enjoy it when the game lets me walk 50 meters without having to kill 20 guys on the way. I'm having a bit of hard time relating to a protagonist who , though. I missed these features as well, especially the police giving me a ticket if I fail to stop at the red lights. However, pressing reload every time I'm behind a cover is rooted so deep in me that I would probably loose a lot of bullets at first. On the other hand, that's how it was in the original Mafia too, I guess.

Just finished the single player campaign. Most of my thoughts have already been voiced here: The story was useless, the characters mostly uninteresting, gorgeous pre-rendered cutscenes were scarce, the missions were nice and varied, new units were introduced cleverly, and the final mission was really underwhelming. I started to enjoy the game more and more as I learned how it should really be played: with a shitload of SCVs. I hate timed missions and unfortunately there were a lot of those in this game. Fortunately however, I was able dominate them quite easily. Curiously enough, the bonus objectives stressed me the most about this game. In the capture the flag gas mission, for instance, I captured six of the seven sites with relative ease but couldn't capture the last one because I had to find the three artifacts first. I took (and always take) completing bonus objectives way too seriously, especially if there is some kind of permanent reward, such as upgrade points, involved. I know this and I can't help it. I'm interested to see what Blizzard will do with the next chapter. If it's going to be more or less the same missions but with the zerg, I'm probably going to pass, as I dislike the zerg, don't care for the epic storyline and have played enough of these "traditional" RTS games already. I really hope they can come up with some crazy twist for Heart of the Swarm to make me play it. Oh, and I'm not interested in the multiplayer, at all.

Sorry, I of course meant Chris. I always confuse you two because your voices are so similar. -

I have to missions to go and I only now noticed that Raynor and Tychus are wearing space assless chaps.

Ok, I have only played three missions or so in DoW II, but I can see how a super powerful squad power for instance could make most of the missions very easy. I can't think of similar examples in Company of Heroes and even if there was, "you don't have to play it that way."
-
Broken in what way? Starcraft II is pretty easy but not too easy for me in normal. There is definitely some strategy involved and I have no single tactic to beat every mission. Adjusting the difficulty to hard would probably make the game more strategic but also a lot less enjoyable for me. Like I already said, I enjoy having enough of time to react and not having to pump 4 units or more every minute to stay in the fight. Playing with Korean professional gamers would probably make this one of the most strategic games in the world but also a game I would absolutely loathe. Company of Heroes and Starcraft II have a very different take on RTS and I just prefer Company of Heroes' more.

When playing single player campaign (at normal difficulty) it's definitely much closer to Command & Conquer than Company of Heroes. There is a lot more variety in the missions than any of the C&C games I have played, though, and with some of the missions requiring a lot more strategy than the others. Such is the case with missions where you only control a handful of units. The game is obviously a lot faster than Company of Heroes and at least I can't always react in a best possible way to a new threat, and therefore sometimes have to throw anything I got to fend off an enemy attack whereas in CoH I usually had time to execute the perfect counter-measure. This is actually why I still hold Company of Heroes to be my favourite RTS of all time, while Starcraft II is just a great RTS.

Yeah, I really enjoyed that one. Rest of them haven't been as smart. -
It is in a mission called Media Blitz. You get to control Tychus' mech in that one. You will notice when you find the secret.

I haven't played enough of the first game to make a comparison, but Discworld 2 is certainly not one of the hardest adventure games I have played. However, it is not ridiculously easy either, in my opinion. Haven't encountered any poorly designed or unfair puzzles yet, which is nice. Except maybe for the one where you have to put sticker that says "10" to a 1 ton weight to make it heavier. -

I'm (re)playing this at the moment. I lost count how many times the game has made fun of adventure game traditions, mainly fetch quests, or otherwise broken the fourth wall. Yet, it is pretty much as traditional an adventure game as one can be. And I noticed none of this on my first playthrough a long time ago.. -

Now that the podcast is ending, would someone explain why Steve has Ebola virus as an avatar?
