On a positive note, I am hoping that there will be a big leap in the online side of things... I wouldn't mind an MMO experience that didn't involve using a PC. With early reports on Huxley and APB for the 360 looking promising and the sequel to Phantasy Star on its way it could happen. Which makes me very enthusiastic. Someone made a point about developers not having pushed any of the current consoles to their limit, and I'm inclined to agree. Unfortunately I'm not sure if that'll happen this time round either, as from what I've heard from programmers the multiple processors of the PS3 are pushing the dev teams to their limits not the other way round. Another point I liked (Vimes?) is that current gen stuff will indeed become cheaper, so I'm going to have alot of fun on the eve of 360's release picking up a GC with as many games as I can get my grubby mitts on!

I hate PS2's as it is. But the idea of a portable one makes my blood run cold. The posts I've read so far confirm my suspiscions... there aren't any exclusives, so what is the point. The thing is about as portable as a Sega nomad and all the games suck.

Yeah, they very regularly run low on Jim Beam and San Miguel I'm not joking, they do. I think that the review (which is a bit rubbish) only works for the casual buyer/gamer... Which would make sense as they are the majority, and they are also the ones who could actually do with some advice and help with their purchases. Maybe they should try getting that published in a newspaper or magazine that their target audience might read?

Hmm... at 280 quid, that was kind of what I was expecting to pay a few months after release. I don't understand why Microsoft are making different versions, period. Seems like a massive mistake. Ah well fuck it. I'm going to plunder the back catalogue of Xbox and GC games I haven't played for at least another ten months anyway.

The reason they might have thought it sucked is because the game can be extremely unforgiving at times. Imagine the Dr Robotnik boss level where you chase him through the sunken temple. There are loads of levels like that in Quackshot. I reckon the last really good disney game was 'The lion King' on the 16 bit machines. A little easier than some of the earlier stuff, but still pretty solid. Cracked that open, Ecco the Dolphin, and Earth worm Jim today to relive some of the moments. Tomorrow I'm going to plow through Alien 3, Atomic Runner and Alicia Dragoon.

I agree with that, Tolkien is overrated, doesn't mean he hasn't got a lot fans who deserve to have something that stays a little more faithful to his 'vision'. As much as I despise JRR, he has kind of influenced all fantasy writing that followed... Hmm I don't like much of that either... I think I lost the point I was trying to make.

What happened to this thread? Yufster actually is making some sense.... Although I agree with Knar, again, if you want to manipulate a male/partner a sigh indicates disatisfaction/irritaion, whereas the pout is more efective because although it is immediatly indicated that the user of pout is disatisfied it doesn't alienate.

All of that review was lame. I work part time for a[mainstream,can't say in case somehow I get in tropuble] (an English spirits, wine and beer shop) off license. I've drunk almost everything we have in stock and can advise people on the choices they should make, be it whiskey, vodka, wine etc. I do know that half the staff that are employed there couldn't tell you the difference between a merlot and a chardonnay. Let alonethat all wine is made from red grapes... I only work 14 hours a week nowadays. It would be unsurprising if the franchise I work for got a bad review as most of the people who work there don't have a clue, nor do they have an interest in what they sell.

Unreal is better, After Quake 2, id lost their crown. although the single player design didn't match up... multiplayer for unreal tournament rules.
