  1. Dungeon Defenders

This came out on PC a while ago and recently got a very quiet release on X360 and PSN. A couple of friends recommended so I tried it out and have found myself utterly absorbed in the game, it is a beautifully refined mix of Tower Defence and Dungeon Crawler. I wrote a review about it here. But I was more interested in whether anyone is playing it? Anyone enjoying it? Anyone find the inconsistent portrayal of the Huntress disappointing?
  2. Dungeon Defenders

Right well, it is on sale on Steam right now. They put a bunch of DLC up recently and patched the hell out of it.
  3. Plug your shit

I mean just that, getting the people to talk about what interests them as well as what they do rather than trying to push a product. It makes it more fun to listen to.
  4. Plug your shit

Hey, I said I would. I did enjoy it and have suggested that a few of my co-writers have a listen to it as I much prefer your approach to interviewing.
  5. Unnecessary Comical Picture Thread

It is mainly for their frogs though, wait until they try and get your frogs.
  6. Unnecessary Comical Picture Thread

Flaw in my plan? I hope they actually make it, I would play it. That said, most people hate Big the Cat with a passion.
  7. Plug your shit

Perfect, I now have a backlog as well. This will get me through next week.
  8. Plug your shit

I shall listen to it Monday morning and let you know! I constantly craved new podcasts. My dream is to have enough to last me the whole week of work. Incidentally I was enjoying castmedium, what are they up to now?
  9. Plug your shit

Sorry, not sure how to embed, but I did this edit of Saints Row: The Third, it was my first time attempting to edit stuff together and I think it actually came out alright. Planning on doing one for Katamari Damacy (using original music) and Dead Rising (using borrowed). I am using Microsoft Movie editor and can already see limitations and flaws in it, looking for something reasonably light in terms of editing (I don't need anything crazy) but a little more robust than MME, any suggestions?
  10. Unnecessary Comical Picture Thread

Not comical on its own but I did a quick post after reading yet another comment thread with 'true' Sonic fans ranting about the games: http://badgercommander.net/sonic-fans-are-never-happy
  11. Mass Effect 3

Totally agree. I am just going to poop on this game because it is a sequel to two games that I didn't like very much. *Poops*
  12. Sam and Max is coming back

Ah, I see. Well, it is two years later and I sat down with Situation: Comedy and started going through the entire first season. I am on episode Reality 2.0 right now and so far each of them has offered up something fun or enjoyable. I think I enjoyed the balance of puzzles and interaction/deduction in Episode 2, the story line and gags of Ep. 3 were great and the setting, gags and premise for Ep 4 were great (Especially the 'What's up Supes?' line which sounds suspisciously like 'What's up Scoops?' did I see a thank you to Steve Gaynor in the credits, I think I did). I stopped early in Reality 2.0, mainly because I had been playing for about 8 hours at that point and had to get some rest. I really like the fact that the episodes flow into each other, that there is a continuity and that the running jokes or themes don't feel overwrought. In fact, their usage helps a player get used to the puzzling and the kind of arc to expect from each episode. I have to say that apart from Episode 2, there has always been one puzzle or item search that has had me stumped for a bit too long and only once did it feel like I had a solution that should have worked but the game decided that was not to be (it was in Ep 4 with the lobbying). Kind of sad that it has taken me this long to get round to finishing a bunch of them as they are pretty damn fine adventure games and the season format works remarkably well. Also, I kind of love Bosco he is just the right level of ridiculous
  13. Anyone Remember?

Listening tot he REsident Evil one off post, and had another 'holy shit, the thumbs nailed it' moment. At about 12 minutes into the idlenews blast they start talking about how Capcom looked at Gears of War, Prince of Persia and God of War before making Resi 5. Then Jake goes 'hopefully they'll look at Left 4 Dead'. Well, guess what? 'Resident Evil: Raccon City' is happening. Is the saxophonist Salacious Crumb? Or am just thinking of the Halo ODST smoky sax?
  14. Blood Bowl

I smell a credit card purchase as soon as it comes in.
  15. Blood Bowl

Chris - The Blood Bowl card game actually interests me even though I do like the nail biting tension of the dice rolling and the against all odds moments of the board game, how easy is it to track down? Mr. C4t - We are setting stuff up on Arcadian Rhythms right now. There are a lot of rusty players so we are planning a couple of practice matches this weekend just to see how the netcode handles things and also to see how we do. The tournament stuff we are planning for November. At the moment it is looking like a 1300-1400 team cap and using classic rules. As for Fumbll, I thought games workshop closed them down? If they are still going it is good to know that there is an alternative out there
  16. Blood Bowl

Alright I am resurrecting this thread. I caved and picked up the Legendary Edition on PC. Anyone interested in joining a tournament that we are trying to setup right now?
  17. Renegade Ops

Will be online playing this in couch multiplayer on X360 tonight. Does anyone know if the game supports same screen + online players?
  18. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

Thanks C4T, the to and fro happened over the course of a couple of days and about halfway through it occurred to me that it would be a waste for it to be completely lost. Dylan is a fun person to bounce off of as he generally has an interesting take on whatever game he is playing, he also has some ridiculous biases (if it is made by Monolith he will find reasons to love it). I very much concur on the exploration, so far it has been really fun to hit a brick wall then just spend time exploring a different venue or area. Incidentally the last two images in the post are my two characters 'Dave' and 'Davejnr'. They are both sporting the hollow shield and Spear routine but their garb is widely different. The Dave one was taken at around the 20 hour mark, and the Davejnr one was taken at around the 6 hour mark. Man, it is 9AM and already I am thinking about playing some more Dark Souls.
  19. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

A friend and I got into a discussion about Dark Souls, he has already given up on it but it made a fun back and forth: http://badgercommander.net/two-ar-guys-a-conversation-and-dark-souls
  20. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

After my deeply unsettling experience in the depths last week I couldn't bring myself to explore the area properly and settled for going up against the giant creature in the Darkroot area (didn't put spoilers on this as everyone seems to have moved past me now). I actually beat it first time as none of its attacks could make enough of a dent in my stamina so I have progressed quite deep into the level and getting excited about what I might find.
  21. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

Apparently poison arrows is a good way to go. I refuse to use the glitch and someone told me that you can try to go head to head or get underneath the bridge and poison arrow the git.
  22. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

Yeah, I was afraid you would say that. I am not keen on trying to run past that creature, nor do I fancy fighting it either. I'll root around underneath the for a while instead until I can summon the courage to deal with that thing next. Battle Axes are pretty handy once you can wield them.
  23. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

Beat the Gargoyles last night and rang the bell. Man, I am glad that it is over, however I am not sure where to go next. I defeated the skeletons in the graveyard, got further down only to discover some exploding skulls that ressucitate skeletons in the vicinity. I already , and I am not sure I fancy going after either the areas where the two black smiths can be found. I will probably play around a bit more in the place I put in spoiler tags but I know that there are some pretty nasty things that can happen there.
  24. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

That is exactly what I am planning to do when I get home in 5 hours time. Then I am going to steam roll over a few of the bosses I had previously killed with my other character. 5:30 can't come soon enough.
  25. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

That speed run to the first bell... That is so infuriating to know I am so close, those two gargoyles always gang up on me and kill me. Going to have to cheap that dragon for the sword it drops so that I can take on the that terrible twosome.
