I liked it!

It plays like a combination of Trespasser and every simple first-person adventure game ever made. As a tech demo, I guess it's alright, but I wasn't very impressed. Especially with the ending.

I too enjoy Captain Planet!

If you take out the A.I, which looks interesting in its own right, Bioshock is basically just System Shock 2 in a new environment. Case in point: That whole bit about the security camera. You can either shoot it and waste ammunition, run past it and risk detection, or use up your Adam in the security console to disable it for a short time. Set the alarm off and enemies will keep chasing after you until the timer finishes counting down or you hack a security box. All of that is the exact same way Shock 2 was. Take out the graphics and the supposedly fantastic AI, and I don't see what makes this game so revolutionary. 's not necessarily a bad thing, since I love Shock 2, but I was expecting something a little bit different.

The first one controls pretty horribly, but the sequel is ace all the way.

And Avoid the Noid.

I bought this game while on vacation because I'd heard nothing but good things about it and promptly returned it when I got home Jesus, the main characters of this eat more than I do in a given day and they spend it all on death's doorstep. Letting them perish is all for the best.

"Angel's Revenge," "Riding With Death," "Agent from H.A.R.M.," "Overdrawn At The Memory Bank," "Merlin's Mystical Shop," and "Prince of Space" are all pretty class too.

"We haven’t heard anything about a Grim movie involving Tim Burton, except for that blog posting you saw, which is pretty fake-looking to us." So sayeth the people at Double Fine. Which doesn't mean that much I suppose, but still.

Only on eBay, I suppose: http://cgi.ebay.com/Video-Game-Development-Team_W0QQitemZ8278223283QQcategoryZ62053QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem For a Buy-It-Now price of $200,000.00, you can have your very own game dev team build your dream game (assuming they can finish it in the allotted 90-day period). Who could refuse? Also worthy of note are the great Q&A's at the bottom, which include things like this:

That's been out for a while now. It's alright. Several of the later levels are ridiculously hard. Just picture regular Vice City-like levels where the pedestrians are running after you, punching you, and you have the basic idea. Oh, and it is night time.

Best Idle Thumbs article I've read since the hilarious E3 coverage. Maybe this should be on the main page, with a logo like "IdleThumbs: We hate you."

Amen.

I think you are looking for Gun.

Speaking of Morrowind, though entirely off topic for this thread, Target stores have the Game Of The Year edition with both add-ons for the game for $5 dollars now. And not the Jewel case version, either, I'm talking about the full, in-box one that comes with the manual and map and everything. That's worth a , I think.

Awesome! And as far as the beautiful stranger part...

Well the guy I was responding to understood it, so that's good enough for me.

Much amusement. My all-time favorites were collecting a Rainbow and a Thunder God. Wonderful.

If you are looking for free games, go to www.moddb.com and check out their listings of Stand Alone games. There are plenty of upcoming and already released multiplayer games there of exceptional quality that have been released under the GPL. One I am looking forward to is Nosferatu. Otherwise, UT2004 is a great game with a good mod scene, as is Half Life 2. In the case of Half-Life 2, the Hidden: Source mod is one of the best multiplayer experiences I've come across.

I second this.

Boiling Point: Road to Hell Awesome concept. Shoddy story. Buggy as all get-out. F.E.A.R. demo Awesome combat. Goofy story, decal graphics are iffy, weightless physics. About as scary as March of the Penguins. FlatOut demo The crashes! Oh god, the crashes! Cars slide like greasy lightening. The Windshield-Launch is touchy. Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath It's an Oddworld game. And a western! Fetching ammo in the "wild". It isn't on PC!!!!

Ew, I can just picture horrible class punishments like "Play through Catwoman from start to finish."

I love Kiki's Delivery Service. *points at his icon* It is almost like Fight Club, in that you can just pop it in and watch it at any point in the film and get something out of it (otherwise, comparisons kind of fade ) Anyway, thus far, it is my favorite Ghibli movie, though I still have many left to see. Porco Rosso or Spirited Away are probably next on my list.

Kick ass, thanks Papa Smurf!
