The reason I was so proud of my find was that it was actually in the Calgary Herald, which is the big, important newspaper for the city. I think it's more fun when they slip up and (or perhaps intentionally) add those weird and laughable headlines.

Back when I was 13 or so, I'd always scan the newspaper looking for dumb or just funny headlines. Things like "Naked Passenger Disrupts Flight." I remember the prize of my collection was one about the paleontology department at a Japanese university finding a fossilized mammoth. And I quote: "Kinki University Discovers Mammoth Bone"

Yeah, but they're cheaper in Japan...

Heh. The quote from the worst review on metacritic is something along the lines of (and I'm paraphrasing here) "It's good, but it requires patience! Who has that anymore?" Yeah, sounds like a quality adventure game then. I'll definitely be checking it out.i

I obsessed over that game a couple of years back and got 100% on it. Good times. For me, the only difficult boss was Meta-Ridley. Prime was tough, but doable. 'Course, it may have only been because by that point I had all the energy tanks and upgrades. Without tricked-out Samus, I may not have done so well. And just to lend more support to the statement, you really will be surprised how quickly the controls will make more sense.

I think the barging was done with his shoulder. He turned into Metal Wario in SM64DS though, if that helps.

As I recall, gameslol was one of the original potential names for the Thumb. What made you decide to go back to it?

Yeah, that was brilliant use of the smiley there. Seeing it out of the corner of my eye made me read the post as if Zoidberg were saying it, making it all the more appropriate. Really, I don't mind if you look. It makes no difference to me. I just want to make sure that people don't spoil the last puzzle without meaning to. Essentially all that preamble was just me covering my ass faster than someone trying to sneak a donkey over the border. (Get it? My ass? Like, a donkey? No? Fine. )

Hell, as long as this thread is completely derailed, I like to try and mash things together that you wouldn't see unless you made them yourself. Recognizable stuff, but weird enough that it hopefully won't come across as generic. Say, an Elebit armed with the pistol from Gears of War. Doesn't take too much effort, (I figure if I put more than 15 minutes into a tiny picture that's easy to change, I'm spending way too much time worrying about pointless shit) but keeps me happy. Also, there is no compassion in his eyes. No soul. He'll kill you in a second. Look at that little bastard...

You only have one thing left to do before you beat the game. It's written below, but I highly recommend that you go through the dialogue trees and discover it for yourself. Seriously. I'm giving you the means to ruin the ending here. Don't look unless you've exhausted every option. You have been warned. The rest of you, don't look unless you've beaten the game or worked on it. As spoilers go, this is one I really wouldn't want to read beforehand. If I hadn't beaten the game and read it, I'd be really pissed off at me for posting this. There it is. I hope you didn't look.

Wow. That actually sounds like something I could really get into. I shyed away from NWN2 because of all the bugs I'd been hearing about. Have the majority of them been resolved by now, or should I still wait a while?

By the way, don't expect me to be on too much, as my only free gaming time comes at odd hours of the day. 'Course, with a whole bunch of European thumbs, this may actually work out better. At any rate, hopefully I'll start bumping into people sooner or later.

Fair enough. At least it's on the "to play" list. Yeah, the tutorial screens are awesome. My roommate was watching me play for a while when I first got it just so he could hear each new play style described. "In this position, you channel the quiet dignity of a circus clown during a rain storm." Brilliant!

I have two HDDs in my current PC. My primary drive works fine, so I have no worries with losing all my important files. My secondary on the other hand craps out if you look at it funny. It's not like a crash, my computer just stops realizing that it exists. Then I wait a couple of days, reboot, and it's back. No idea why this keeps happening, and I should probably back that drive up sometime. Still, nothing on there is crucial, so I don't let it bother me too much.

Hey, I'm trying to get back into AC, as it's been a while. Last night I spent some time eliminating months of weed build-up and now I'm trying to work out some nice landscaping. I'm also going to start adding the people from in here, therefor: AC:WW 0344-2594-2041 Name is, of course, Miffy. Town is named Stark. I couldn't think of anything better, so I just went with a TLJ reference. This was before Dreamfall was released and kinda disappointing. Oh well.

Well now I'm a bit hurt. I spent literally minutes finding a couple of images and cramming them together in photoshop. Because I care. EDIT (Also a Fun Fact!) Also, the average post count of people commenting in the "New people" thread is now 1122. Point 5. I think I'll just lurk in this one and watch people introduce themselves for a while until that changes a bit. Replying to Redwall (see below) without adding to the post count: Yeah, I was aware of that. Hell, getting the file size to fit within the limit is hard enough, even with the dimensions of the avatars. Kidding and whatnot, y'know?

Uhh... the Wii doesn't have a mic. (right???) The clapping in the final game is registered by the motion and then sudden stop of the remote, wheras the castanet one I believe is done by clapping your hand over either the A button or the shudder that gets sent through the remote by being enclosed in a clapping hand. Still, good game.

Although I thought I covered Eljay when I said "Birthdays" instead of "Birthday" in the Marek thread, allow me to reiterate. Cheers man. Birthday = good. Enjoy it.

Yup. Finally continuing on from 2000's (or 2001, I'm not sure) Wario Land 4. About damn time, too. Wario World was an entertaining diversion, but not exactly satisfying.
