  1. Leisure Suit Larry in "gimme your money"

Yep, that's exactly how it plays. I think it's good for fans of Sierra games. It's really nice playing a Sierra game without all of the dead ends, and deaths just take you back to right before you died. The music and art are also nice and almost everything in the game feels like it has some kind of joke when you interact with it. That said, it's still a remake of an adventure game from the 80s so it also feels dated and I would have a hard time recommending it to someone new to the genre.
  2. Armikrog: Earthworm Neverhood 2?

The ones I've contributed to are just starting to wrap up now. Shadowrun Returns comes out really soon and I just got a ton of D&D miniatures in the mail that are really cool.
  3. Fez 2

I'd hope he would have something other than decoding puzzles or else the game would be kind of pointless. People loved the original game mostly because of the sense of discovery that it had. Doing the same thing as the first game would kind of ruin that.
  4. Armikrog: Earthworm Neverhood 2?

It's still possible since a lot of projects, especially the ones that haven't met their goal yet, usually get a pretty big boost towards the end of a kickstarter. I hope it makes it. I think it looks like a cool project.
  5. Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel

I'm guessing that they're just giving the book two months instead of one since it's pretty long and they were probably busy with work related things like E3. I actually found the book really hard to read at first because of how many characters it introduces. I'm really bad with remembering names so I struggled for a while until I became used to her writing style and was able to learn all of the names. That said, I loved the book and I look forward to reading the sequel after The Sun Also Rises.
  6. Armikrog: Earthworm Neverhood 2?

I backed it even though I'm not a fan of Tenaple's shitty political views. I think it looks cool and if I had to stop liking something because of the artist's political views or things they've said, there would probably be a lot of stuff I couldn't like.
  7. Double Fine - Kickstarter - MASSIVE CHALICE

I don't get it either. But maybe people's expectations of kickstarters have changed since then? Anyway, I backed it. I'd back anything by Doublefine so I'm glad it's also something that sounds like a really cool game.
  8. Is there any chance that they could maybe do an episode for people that are new to the game? It would be cool to hear their input on what new people should do to learn the game. Then again there's probably a billion guides for people new to the game so I would understand them not wanting to cover it.
  9. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

The website for the game has a fake store that offers this on vinyl and cassette. I actually want the soundtrack to have a vinyl release
  10. LucasArts is no more

Not that I expected Lucasarts to do anything good any time soon but this still sucks. I don't see Disney selling off the properties or rereleasing their old games. I hope I'm wrong though.
  11. I wish he stuck with the open world thing instead of basically making interactive movies. Maybe Heavy Rain was much better and allowed for more variation from choices than Fahrenheit though. More games should also have David Bowie.
  12. ThumbCity

I'm MechaTofuPirate on Origin. I'd like to play in the ThumbCity too.
  13. It's probably for the best that Suh wasn't on Wild and Crazy Kids or else kids would have ended up in the hospital.
  14. Torment: Tides of Numenera

I partially agree. It's much harder for new games to get funding but there's still stuff like FTL, Sportsfriends, and Kentucky Route Zero that managed to get funding, even if it wasn't in the millions. But it makes sense, people are more likely to fund something that is likely to be good and it's harder to predict that when it's something new or an unknown developer. That said, I think Wildman mostly failed because it wasn't that great of a pitch and Taylor announced a couple of days in the kickstarter that he had to lay the team off and he could only hire them back if the kickstarter was successful.
  15. Actually I only know because I looked up the game on wikipedia after listening to the podcast. "A short scene before the credits show Luke and Leia on Tatooine, mourning Dash's death. If the game is beaten on the Medium, Hard, or Jedi difficulty levels, this is followed by one more scene of Dash and Leebo, who had managed to escape the blast, discussing how they plan on hiding from their enemies, with Dash saying, "It's good to be remembered as a martyr without actually being dead, wouldn't you say?"" Games are dumb.
  16. Ugh, everyone knows that if you beat Shadows of the Empire at a high enough difficulty, Dash Rendar survives. Come on thumbs, get your facts straight!
  17. The Walking Dead Season 2: Zalking Dead

The only thing I would like to see is new characters. Not that I disliked the characters from the original or anything but I'd really like to see another contained story instead of more adventures of the people that survived the first game. As long the sequel has the same style of gameplay and the writing is at least as good as the first, then I'll be happy with it. I'm actually more interested in Fables right now since I love the comic and I want to see how that translates to a game.
  18. Age of Wonders 3

I'm cautiously optimistic. I was a big fan of the original games and always thought of it as the good version of Heroes 4.
  19. Torment: Tides of Numenera

So this could have 2 million within 24 hours. That's pretty insane and awesome.
  20. SimCity: The City Simulator

Should someone create a region so we can have up to 16 people from here playing in the same city? That would be cool. Feel free to add me on Origin: MechaTofuPirate
  21. Have you ever played Pinball Arcade for iOS/Android/PS3/360? They do a really good job recreating real life pinball machines. I have it for the x-box 360 and it pisses me off because the publisher of that version went under so it's way behind on DLC releases until the game is rereleased next month. However the iOS version apparently isn't having those issues so it's worth checking out on there.
  22. VG Mutha Fuckin As (Holy crapping cow)

On the bright side, it could be introducing games like Journey and Walking Dead to people who traditionally only care about stuff like Halo or Call of Duty.
  23. VG Mutha Fuckin As (Holy crapping cow)

I can't wait until the next episode of Idle Thumbs for this to be discussed. Congrats guys!
  24. Fair enough. I had a different interpretation from it and thought it was cool how player movement was used as a metaphor. I felt like the game was more about how life is rewarding in different ways depending on if you're on your own or with someone else. When the game allows you to control two people at once, you're unable to access many parts of the maze but you gain points twice as quickly from walking. Anyway, that's just what I got from it and I could see disliking the game by having other interpretations from it.
  25. Why not? I thought it was a really good selection and felt like the game that belonged the most in a museum of modern art, not that the other ones don't.
