  1. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Actually, I think that can actually happen, if a villager meets someone from another village, they might move to their village when they leave.
  2. Steam Summer Getaway Sale

I just looked up how it works... You can get half of them by playing and the rest by trading or buying? How is that even fair? If a game has 6 cards you can only get 3, and if you trade them you lose them, so how on Earth do you get the full set? Do they expect us to pay for them or what?
  3. Steam Summer Getaway Sale

People are saying that Bioshock Infinite is cheaper at Greenmangaming, but the voucher they have on their site isn't working for that game with me. Does crafting a badge require all the cards? I'm likely to get a few before the sale ends, but all of them? Nope, no way. I don't really get this new card system, I started playing Borderlands 2 and got three of the same card, but I haven't gotten any extra since. Are they tied to achievements, play time, or are they random?
  4. Steam Summer Getaway Sale

I kinda don't care about the card... I don't even understand how they work, but... I kinda want the badge with it seems is achieved with card collecting? Does this I'll have to own ALL the games to craft that badge? That sucks! I'm also not getting Bioshock Infinite yet, I'll wait until it's near the 20€ range. *shrugs*
  5. Gaming terminology

Don't we have have own term, the "meat circus", for big difficulty spikes? I have the term "lazy lockdown arena", which when a game gets lazy and instead of designing a level, they just lock you in an arena and throw enemies at you until you're dead or bored. It could probably do with a shorter names since it's a mouthful. :|
  6. R.I.P. Ryan Davis

Yeah, it was hard to listen to in a way, but it's something I needed to listen to. If that makes any sense...
  7. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Yeah, that does sound like a good idea.. I didn't realized that the new room you added could be expanded too, I guess I'll be paying loans for a while longer. I might actually try to make the house more "real" and make one room a kitchen and another a bathroom, but I only have a fridge. :|
  8. R.I.P. Ryan Davis

I have seen some people saying that some gaming blogs are exploiting his death for views, but I've also yet to see anybody say anything bad about him.
  9. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Speaking of which, it looks like I might be done with my house payments soon and when I've caught all I can this season... I don't what to do to NOT use time travel. I guess I could just play a little each day, but that way I'll get bored more quickly. :| Is the tarantula seasonal? I've only seen one of them so far and it got me before I could do anything.
  10. R.I.P. Ryan Davis

Jesus, I don't even know what to say... And he was newly wed person too.
  11. The Big LucasArts Playthrough

This got me curious, has anybody actually played the C64 Labyrinth game? I didn't even know it existed until recently.
  12. The Big LucasArts Playthrough

I'm not sure either, but I think I might have messed up a game or two of the Last Crusade. I think the game does give several solutions to each puzzle, but you can still mess up?
  13. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

I actually found a spreadsheet you can download, I downloaded it and just deleted the ones I didn't have and pasted it to a Google doc. Should I feel bad that I will eventually time travel to catch them? I don't see myself playing this next spring. :|
  14. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

    How did you get it?
  15. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Argh, I just realized too late I hit the power off button instead of the home button on my 3DS, so I lost all my progress. Well, not all my progress since I updated my dream suite, which saves you game, but my trip to the bug island was gone. I don't really care, sure I made a mint, but Nook's store had a house style I wanted and you can't upgrade your house and buy that item on the same day.
  16. 'GUN_MONKEYS' from Size Five Games

    TotalBiscuit liked it!
  17. Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

I got Battlefield 3 and PAYDAY the Heist with PSN plus and I kinda quit both, I say "kinda" because PAYDAY doesn't really seem to have an ending, it's like Killing Floor for banks, only not as fun? Battlefield 3? I found it just so monotonous and boring. The worst is when I realized that it was just like my only COD experience, the game was only "exciting" when game threw disasters at me. In COD, they bloody threw a nuke at me, in Battlefield? An earthquake. After that there was the most boring jet sequence that not even the Afterburner soundtrack could make interesting (I'm not kidding, it's what I turned on the moment I got in the jet) after that it felt ridiculously formulaic and I realized I was forcing myself to play it, so I quit. I always feels strange for saying I enjoyed "bad" shooters like Kane & Lynch and not enjoying what seems to be the future of all games forever. :|
  18. Catching up with you "retro wishlist".

I may have spoken too soon when I said playing every game I wanted seemed feasible. After finding the fan translation of Mother 3, I found a fan translation of Mohter 1+2 for the GBA... and I got curious and I might be going down a dark path... Oh, look! The original Shin Megami Tensai games have fan translations? Dragon Quest too? Oh dear... This won't end well. D8
  19. Recently completed video games

I finally Atelier Totori Plus and while I loved the game, I didn't enjoy hard ridiculous the conditions for the "true ending" every game from Japan seems to have now. Totori is ridiculously adorable and charming, her friends are pretty interesting too. Yes, I said "her" Japan isn't afraid of having female protagonists, in fact, it's rather common there. Totori is an alchemist, so the game is VERY craft heavy, as you progress you fight bigger monsters, get better ingredients which get you better items to fight bigger monsters. The can be ridiculously complex if you want it to, since ingredients have several stats like quality, but most importantly, a same ingredient can have a ton of different stats modifiers or similar, if you use a certain herb, the potion will heal you more, but if you that same herb but with a different quality you'll get the chance to use it more. Apparently you can make game breaking items, but doing that seemed too tedious. I beat the final boss relatively easy once I had decent items.
  20. Catching up with you "retro wishlist".

Damn, that other Moon games looks like the kind I'd be into, so it's in Japanese only then?
  21. Books, books, books...

Hmm, come to think of it, I've yet to read an eBook with foot notes, but wouldn't their format make footnotes easy?
  22. Catching up with you "retro wishlist".

Yeah, Theresia sounds good. Wow, so many people haven't even played older games, how many of you have played Castlevania Symphony of the Night? That's not even that old, but PSX seems too old for some.
  23. Books, books, books...

If memory serves me well all you need to do is download the Kindle PC app, download the .mobi files and when you open they'll be in the Kindle app?
  24. Books, books, books...

I don't see it at that price, but there is a new Humble eBook Bundle!
  25. Catching up with you "retro wishlist".

Do you really 100% all games? That sounds... not fun? Specially since "100%ing" games is more tedious with each game. I can't even remember the last game I 100% unless it was a LEGO game.
