Same here, an overly long horror game sounds terrible in more ways than one, not to mention "slogging it" would kill the tension.

Well, I bought a few US only PSP JRPG on the PSN sale and it looks like most Star Wars stuff is on sale everywhere because it's almost May the 4th?
  3. Webcomics

I've read the pre-Homestuck stories, the MS Paint Adventures, but I could never get into Homestuck, but just reading this make me glad I didn't. The lack of closure is one this that will turn me off anything.

Too bad most of the games in the bundle are for Uplay only, we tend to make Origin jokes a lot, but Uplay? We all have it, but I don't want to have a game only on Uplay, the least reliable of these services. I'm probably going to take a look on the US PSN Golden Week deal, even if the EU PSN had the same sale, the US has so many more Japanese games that Europe doesn't. It's almost annoying how easy it is to play US PSP and PS3 games on an EU PSN account compared to the Vita ones, but at least we seem to have the same titles in that category.
  5. P.T (Playable Teaser for Silent Hills)

Konami is delisted from the stock exchange, which can't be good.

I just beat Broken Age: Act 2, I talk about it more on the appropriate thread, but it was AMAZING!
  7. Broken Age - Double Fine Adventure!

I just beat Act 2 and I LOVED it! The "worst" of the puzzled just required taking some notes and putting 2 and 2 together. Frankly, I think the game is almost flawless, whenever I got stuck in a puzzle, I switched characters and when I had to return to the other and facepalm at my own stupidity for not being able to figure it out.

This is different, imagine Dead had normal breasts physics and fully clothes women, but add the bouncy breasts as some bonus mini-game. The fact that it's added as a side story is what upsets me, it shows how truly unnecessary it is, sure it's not needed in DOA either, but it's there from the start.

I really talk about this game, I'd even start a topic if it weren't for the fact I'm pretty sure most people here don't play VNs often, except for 999 and Danganronpa. *eden is a "kinetic novel", which means there are no choices to make, just reading. It's a story about a soldier reassigned to protect the only scientist capable of creating an evacuation system to save the humans from an ominous red light heading straight to Earth. Being pure story, I can't really say much... it's like a Telltale game and like a TT game, I was crying like a baby at the end, But here's the REAL interesting part.... Did you know Steam is selling censored hentai games? I was almost to afraid to look, but *eden is a censored "hentai" game. When I found out I was curious if I could notice the censorship, there was a death scene where someone was stabbed several times and the blood was removed... I don't get the point, but oh, well. I braced for impact, waiting for some dumb censored hentai scene to ruin the story and waited, and waited... in the end I found out that the game is mostly the same, except the non-censored version has non-cannon hentai sidestories. "Hey, remember those characters that touched the essence of your very soul? Would you like to see them defiled by our perverted minds?" Frankly, I'm so happy this story WAS censored, I don't intend on playing the uncensored one, because this version is clearly the superior one. The worst is the nagging doubt I have.... how many great stories have been tainted by shoehorned naughty bits? How many of these games were afraid their stories wouldn't sell if they weren't hentai? Damn, maybe I should have started a thread about this after all. X^P

I finally beat The Wonderful 101 and it was 101% wonderful! While I wouldn't say it's better than Bayonetta, I do think it's better than Bayonetta 2, sure the combat was as amazing as Bayonetta, but it's "Platinum-ness" was off the charts. At first I thought it was just a more tame Platinum game, it looked a bit like a brawler crossed with Pikmin (although you barely throw you friends at enemies that much), but the more I played, the insanity and fun just grew, it sure had more "teeth" than Bayonetta 2, speaking of which, I'm pretty sure Wonder Pink was literally Bayonetta, with a hint of Draculaura. The only downside to this game was the bomb character who was almost boring to play as and that while some enemies were weaker to some type of attacks... it was never obvious which one to use except for the whip. I'm not kidding when I say this game is literally Chibi Bayonetta, so many elements are literally the same as in Bayonetta, I'd say the only different part is the combat, but if you buy the right items, you can even have something similar to Witch Time. I really, REALLY loved this game!
  11. Broken Age - Double Fine Adventure!

I've been watching the documentary on YouTube even though I'm pretty sure I backed enough to see it before hand, so far I don't think it's going to spoil Act 2. I'm pretty hyped for Act 2 though! HUZZAH!
  12. Mario Kart DLC download PARTY!

Would it be bad if only played as Isabelle and ignored the other DLC characters?
  13. Maximum Axiom Verge Urge

Aw, why do I have to wait so long for the Vita version? It's like Shovel Knight all over again. :^/

The Humble Store is having a shooter sale on games like Painkiller and Serious Sam. Heavy Bullets looks like it could be interesting? And is Aliens Colonial Marines funny bad or tedious and horrible bad?

Neko Atsume is pretty great, you have a yard you will with cat toys and cat food and it fills up with kitties who pays you in fish to buy more items to attract MOAR kitties! If I'm going to get hooked on a cow clicker, it better be one with cute kitties!
  16. Webcomics

I'm pretty sure this whole chapter will be uncomfortable, or at least any moment involving Antimony and her father.

Dammit! I really like the Dresden Files! But isn't the Sad Puppies more Republican/conservative than anything else, or am I misinformed?
  18. We can remaster him. We have the technology.

Wow, apparently Japan has MSX and PC Engine games on the Wii U VC! Most of the PC Engine games are on the JPN PSN, so you could get them if you really wanted to. I guess many of the games we aren't getting from other regions were either never translated and text heavy or have some copyright issues? It would suck if a game was released worldwide but only in some regions digitally... I think there actually might be some examples, but I just can't remember.
  19. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

Wait, wait... HONEY BADGER BRIGADE? The group with the most volatile temper in the universe named themselves after the animal with the "Honey badger don't care" meme? Are they that oblivious and unaware?
  20. We can remaster him. We have the technology.

While Sony's PSOne and PS2 classics may have more third party classics, at least Nintendo tries to make VC releases worldwide... they actually translated Sin & Punishment! Compared to Sony's Classics, I always have to buy some import PSN card and switch to a different country account to play them, then again... You can actually do this with Sony, if you want a VC game that only exists digitally in another country, you have to buy a new 3DS or Wii U, right? Wow, I just realized you can NES Sunsoft classics on your PS3/Vita/PSP like Journey to Silius. You play Chrono Trigger on PSN, but not on VC... Maybe the PSN side of classic games is better after all. :^(
  21. We can remaster him. We have the technology.

I don't think any of us here would be against preservation, except maybe those "hipsters" would make a belt buckle out of a rare NES game because irony? (Seriously, I can't even fathom how the term hipster even works) There is nothing wrong with liking VHS movies, old Atari games or anything older, but you have to understand, if you're new to this, getting an old console and some games can be so much more expensive and a hassle to get them to run compared to simply buying the digitally remastered edition or Virtual Console version.
  22. Webcomics

Tom Siddell got angry at all responses he got saying it was "too much" and such... I kinda agree with the readers, it was starting to be less dramatic and more ridiculous with the final strips with Antimony's father. I have nothing against drama, but once you go over a certain point with me I can no longer take it seriously. :^(

Dammit, Tegan as if I didn't have enough comics to read... ;P

I just beat Kya: The Dark Lineage, a PS2 which might be a hidden gem? It's a bit like Ratchet & Clank, Jax and similar games. You're a girl transported to a magical world where an evil overlord is taking over, so the plot is not that original, but I like the gameplay. You must fight creatures called Wolven and then exorcise them back to "Nativs" who build shops to get better upgrades or skills needed to continue the game. The combat is not perfect, but interesting, I don't think the upgrades are that optional as Wolven get tougher and more efficient at fighting, just when you think you're found a good combo to make the combat easier the game dishes out a new enemy and forces you to change tactics a bit right until the end. I rather liked some of the puzzles, sometimes you are forced to sneak around enemies and use their weapons against them like a bomb dispenser, it's mostly about using your powers efficient or creatively. The games has races and minigames as completely optional things only for money, I didn't even need to touch them at all, you do get a magical airboard with with you must traverse special areas, dodging and jumping, which was actually quite fun... until the last two sections, which are so close they might as well be the same. You must keep hitting the speed boosters of the lava will catch you, but as the speed increases it's harder to steer and if you slow down too much.. when most of the sections are on walls so you can pretty much guess what will happen. I owned this game a long time before and remembered these areas I just mentioned, but never beat it, if only I knew how close I was to the ending, the final boss wasn't that hard after fighting so many "Ninja" Wolven. I even 100% the game and all, it was a blast! :3
