  1. [RELEASE] Explode Mode

This looks, sounds and feels really sharp, as with your previous games. I found it damn difficult, but I'm a baby. I really enjoyed destroying Dot Gobbler!
  2. [RELEASE] Rigid Body Rat King

This is gorgeous, love your art and characterisation as always, and the mechanics are tantalisingly fun - MORE please!
  3. [Release] Refined Baby : A Baby Game

This was really funny and just at the right difficulty (except making shout the goddamn Enter key) - I loved the Monty Python-esque feel to it, especially the dying-butler noise which sounds very Terry Jones!
  4. This is great! Simple addictive mechanic and funny concept, lots of detail and nice touches. Love all the in-jokes and audio clips! I had a bit of trouble pulling off the handbrake turns, though - it seems to kill your momentum dead so you can't Tokyo Drift...
  5. [Release] Some Kind of Drifter

The changing music works very well, especially the way it turns into a DooMTM cover by the end!
  6. [RELEASE] Dot Gobbler

This is hilarious and really well-presented! The splash screen, the credits screen, the sound effects, the power-pill effects and of course the music, all so good and work really well with this weird main character. I couldn't bring myself to finish level 5, then came back here and saw it's the last one! Did I miss out on anything?
  7. [RELEASE] I'm Blown Away

This looks and sounds really nice, and it's a cool idea. I got within inches of the flag but the character handling was just a little too tough for me to finish it!
  8. [RELEASE] Explode Mode

Uh, how do I open this game? I just unzipped the download and all I have is a shortcut that doesn't do anything and some other folders that seemingly just contain content files...
  9. I had this on (not that I had any choice as far as I could tell - when will VOD services give us the option to turn all the extraneous shit off?) while watching X-Files and it only lasted up until around season 3 or 4, so I assumed it was done manually rather than with recognition software.
  10. Life

Mike, are you asking for advice on whether to drive, or what cool places to stop off at if you do drive, or both?
  11. [Release] You Gotta Have Spice

I picked up over 150 spice and started to wonder if the game was trolling me! If not, it feels like it needs an extra mechanic in there somewhere... Nice, crisp visual design, though!
  12. [RELEASE] Shoot That Pizza

Very interesting take on the title - it's cool to see all the different interpretations!
  13. [RELEASE] Idle Thumbs Simulator 2000

A simple but fun idea wrapped in a setting that cleverly offers diegetic rewards, The only problem I had was that sometimes the font on the tapes made the numbers hard to distinguish.
  14. I think the idea when they were initially published was that they'd come out once a year so the original readers would age along with Harry and pals, so the writing and themes get darker/more emo as the series goes on. If you can both bear it, perhaps you could give them to and/ or read them with her annually as birthday gifts (though you'd have to start at age 11 for full accuracy).
  15. General Video Game Deals Thread

It also has 80 Days dev Inkle's "Steve Jackson's Sorcery!" in it, which this RPS article made sound very intriguing - I'm v tempted!
  16. [Release] Computer Processing Unit

Ha ha, I tried quitting out and changing the resolution to no avail before finally figuring that one out. One puzzle I managed to solve!
  17. [Dev Log] That Mechanical Meat

Game page (because no one puts it in their damn threads!) This was my first ever clicker (or whatever they're called) and the genre is as inexplicably boring as I expected - but that's not your problem, it's mine! The dynamic presentation is great - enough movement and neon to suggest overwhelming without actually doing it - and the artwork is really cute. The endless runner is also really solid and fun.
  18. [Release] Life as a Dung Beetle

Ah, I think I had that control issue too. Good to hear a Ben X edition is on the way - every game ever should have one imo
  19. "Cars sucks." - A Pixar Thread

Are we giving up on this, then? We should have watched Up by now and we are halfway through Toy Story 3 fortnight.
  20. This looks really nice, and it's a cool idea with a nice story. I just brute forced my way through it, though - perhaps audio and/or visual feedback for what key presses the player is making would help?
  21. [Release] Punch Wizard

This is so cool. The VHS toy ad aesthetics, the advisor bai, his quips, the battery flap when the T-Rex dies, all so good. I really enjoyed the platforming as well, I could play a whole game of this! Only negative is that there wasn't really any fighting tactics that I could tell - just stand and hammer the punch key (and maybe jump out of the way once or twice).
  22. [RELEASE] The Eyes of Luigi

Itchio Game page This was hilarious, especially the voice-acting - I cracked up when . Also looked really nice and the ghosts were fucking terrifying. The inventory system felt a little weird - I was never sure if I was missing out on stuff because I had things equipped or if I was clicking on the wrong button.
  23. Great little vignette, lovely sense of drama and pacing. It feels like an interactive illustration to accompany the episode. Also, lovely poster art!
  24. Full of character and the physics of sucking up stuff is really satisfying. I'm probably being a philistine for wanting it to be more 'gamey' but I think I would have enjoyed it a bit more of there was some element of timing or of choosing which pieces to go for...
